yea these are the 2 better units.. but i guess when it comes to my turn, only left low floors. so im thinking of back up choices.. looks like i can only settle for 290, 288, 298 of block 32 and unit 304 of block 33 if i dont want those facing the mrt track. can anyone advise on these units?

Hey, think we thinking of the same blk 292 and 310 face bukit timah, but face mrt track blk 340 and blk 314 if high floor not sure will hear mrt noise ?

What's your definition of high floor? I can only get til highest maybe 20th storey due to budget.. think at this height still can hear the mrt noise... Haiz

My queue number for Keat Hong 5-room is in the lower 1**, but my selection date is 4 Feb 2013. For me, I just hope that the date and the queue number follows, and I will be fine with that ie. If I am queue #100, regardless of when or which date I select my unit, I just want there to only be 99 5-room units selected before me.

Tandoor - I've been anxious too, because I am working overseas and have to book tix back haha!

Thx diplomat. Now we have a data point for a 5 rm CCK in feb, so it goes to show, the appts are setup so they clear a particular flat type. So, that means those called along with Diplomat will be buying only 5 rm flats at CCK. That was what I was thinking all along. So, we have another conclusion here.

I am a little of a predicament too. I am now overseas, but have to travel to a different place, not SG, in Jan. I have scheduled and paid for the trip but am willing to re-schedule.....comes to worse I have to assign a proxy. And I dont have a selection schedule yet. At least, u can book your tix with the selection appt in hand. Wish I have that privilege. Whatever it is, u are in good shape of getting something good in CCK. Best of luck, dude !

I'm think of around 18-22 floor, not sure can hear the noise , now deciding between blocks facing the park connector or facing mrt. how about you bro?

We are on paying rental house charges monthly and BTO completion is more than 4 years. Preferbly we would like to have SBF and move in ASAP to save high cost of rental charges. Our Q no. is 1XX and we would like to seek advise from experts. thanks.

Why is Ghim Moh more exp than Any other BTO? Anyone mind to share? Just curious.

I think the surroundings is what makes the price high, think abt it Holland, Dover, 6th Ave, Queen Astrid, Sussex, Oei Tiong Ham etc traditionally SG district 10 domain. I has a long history of famous people who lived in those posh bungalows and mansions in the area. Shaw bros, Khoo Teck Puat etc etc. These estates are all prime land in the old days and now. Even HDB will command a high value in this vicinity no matter what.

if you are referring to the triangular plot of land near queenstown mrt which was initially part of dawson btos.. it has been zoned as condo development already.

I am quite sure Queenstown will be more expensive, it's always like this.
This Ghim Moh edge still not really that close to MRT.

If you look at the resale price.

Queenstown fetch more than gm.

And when hdb release any hdb at that area usually very ex.

Hence queenstown will be more ex than gm.

Hi not that one, its the one where the old hawker centre was located.. its called Dawson surbana. I believe its confirmed, its just a matter of time before hdb released it. go check the tanjong pagar grc master plan, you can see the bto and site map. I waited for one year for that bto, til I gave up and went for queenstown ghim moh, though it is actually nowhere near queenstown

Margaret Drive <sob> <sob>......i was there recently wanting to eat at that 50-60 yr old cha kway teow stall where he fries every plate for each customer separately, real out of this world, traditional taste (always had a long q), but I found the entire place has suddenly disappeared. It is likely that the price will be similar to Ghim Moh, because the location is as good. Not as much greenery like Ghim Moh, but about the same parameters in terms of proximity to all the things that Ghim Moh has. Great schools in the area too just like Ghim Moh.

The hawker centre torn down a year ago already. The cha kway teow shifted to telok blangah, not sure the exact place but I think you can Google around...

Actually I feel that ghim moh is better than Dawson in terms of amenities.. but hard to gauge future bto prices of queenstown cos the last launch in queenstown was in 2009. Anw according to sources, the dawson flats will be premium flats, and more of 4/5 rooms...
