NTU APPEAL

I don't really think NTU is genuinely interested in appeal letters. Like wtf they give 50 words for appeal what do they expect us to write? Almost nothing.

that 50 word essay is just to re-examine you and to take a second look at your records (academic, co-curricular, community etc.). It is not meant to add anything.

reappeals do work sometimes. so don't give up appealing guys. my friend wrote in to re-appeal for ntu sociology. the very next day got a call for test + interview. and after some awful days of waiting, she finally got her offer today.

I'd like to be very random in the midst of the thread; somehow, I don't really understand how NTU select their undergrads.

My grades are BBC, GP B, it's neither spectacular nor that bad, but I got rejected flat by NTU's School of Humanities & Social Science. And I heard of people who fared worse than me getting into the courses.

So perhaps NTU looks more at CCA records, interviews, or something for borderline cases... I didn't have much of a CCA record back at JC.

Are you currently serving your NS now? From my knowledge those who apply 1 - 2 years in advance usually have it alot harder than those applying for that particular year since they are actually reserving places for the future, and so they want to be really sure before they accept. And when you mentioned people who fared worse than you, are you actually referring to the girls in your JC? If that's the case don't worry too much, apply again the year after

I wrote a reappeal letter and send in with my documents to ntu. Also after sending in, i wrote another appeal letter and email the dean.
I guess if you really want to get into the sch, u will try all sorts of methods and pester them just like what i did. So don't give up!

she was tested on GP's AQ like questions for the test. And was later on interviewed on her likes/dislikes, views on sociology and her areas of interest.

There's no standard way... for us she sent in a written letter to add dean. just try all the ways you can?

Dont under estimate the wonders of appealing.

More often than not, they would have a few vacancies left or pple would reject their offer at the last min. They would have a waitlist of pple to offer to if the above mentioned happened.

And if you show keen interest to join the course, you will automatically get priority and it helps even more if you are on such a waitlist. So no harm trying.

i already send an email to dean but is replied by d another person.He asked me for my 5 preferences and english scores.
But until nw stil not yet reply me since i had given him d information.
Am I hopeless in my appeal???
Until now adi 4 days passed...I stil not yet receive any news from him.
but i really wan study ther...

suggest if you urgently want to know, just drop them a call. i mean, no harm done right? don't panic just be calm and ask for the results. the fact that they asked you for your scores is a good sign.

don't lose hope, never give up until the last min! believe in miracles ok.
