Does anyone find GN nowadays trying to create drama more than anything? Don't get me wrong, their technical videos are good, but it feels like they are shifting away.
But RTX5000 is really a disaster IMO. I spend the $$$ for the 5080 to get myself a air ticket + Oppo find X8 phone and stick to my 12GB RTX4070ti for web surfing.

I don't think he has passion for hardware anymore. Notice how he made a new Consumer Advocacy channel. He wants authorative power, think hes better suited as a lawyer or Private Investigator.

Since his debacle with LTT, I stop watching his content, both of them have average stock performance benchmarks but LTT has extra fun projects thats more interesting.

Honestly I prefer HUB & Daniel Owens for more focused reviews. Especially on gaming etc. And then Wendel from Level 1 Techs for the Linux, AI workload reviews. Optimum tech for SFF/Racing Sim/VR build porn. All the others are pretty much fluff to me right now.

I think after Gordon passed away, GN became less watchable for me.

And as for LTT, I stopped watching after they reviewed the first Thor passive cooler. And Linus was personally very rude to me in the past when I was trying to showcase my own local brand immersion PC cooling solution that completely solved cable wicking back in 2012-2013 while boosting boot times from 30 seconds to under 5 seconds without BIOS intervention, I can't be bothered to support him anymore.

All these youtube channels need drama to fuel their viewership. They are parroting after one another. Without nvidia, tbey can eat air or squeeze drama from intel. End of the day, i upgrade from 2070s to 5080 is a huge boost. Dont really care how much gain is 4000 to 5000 series.

ROPs disappearing, no 32-bit physx, no 32-bit cuda, no 32-bit openCL, no hotspot sensor, cables burning, no stock, sky high scalping prices, lousier 12vhpwr cable…

holy crap.

nvidia will still laugh all the way to the bank. Wahahahahaha

That's true la, but the way he takes a hard line on everything is very weird to me. I remember the first news he talk about Nvidia 5090 stock very limited, then suggest reasons such as CNY. Then 3 days later - over weekend! - He come up with another Nvidia video complaining there's still no stock! machiam like Nvidia never do enough lol. Like hello, 3 days over the weekend during CNY period what can they do???
