Tip of the iceberg if you ask me.
If SG is helping to sabotage the USA's lead in AI for the benefit of China (as it has done so here), then, as I have said before, sanctions are justified.
Perhaps Singapore's FTA with USA would need to be re-looked at.
As a matter of law and justice.

This is utter rubbish.

Just because some people in Singapore are violating US sanctions does not make Singapore complicit. If you have any shred of evidence that Singapore "is helping to sabotage the USA's lead in AI for the benefit of China (as it has done so here)", then show those evidence.

That's why mti really need to step in and stop these clowns asap..

Intentionally or unintentionally, other nations will see it as an act to support china since that's where the gpus are landing, I'm pretty sure this is common sense, no need to be snowflake.

In simple words, money talks in Singapore. Wash money, ship GPU to China, send goods to North Korea. :s22:

And, Singapore seems to taichi this away.
On the one hand, say that Singapore is not obligated to follow US trade restrictions/laws.
On the other hand, we say that individual businesses should follow both applicable Singapore and US trade laws. LMAO.
Are we US dogs?

In the absence of a bilateral treaty, it is not Singapore's job to enforce US sanctions. If you have actually paid attention, the Minister already said as much.

I already translated for you what Singapore's official stance is.
Actions or non-actions can tell you exactly what is the intent even if it is not said outright.
But, we digress.

for the price of the 5070 ti in SG, most will say might as well wait for the S$1800-S$1900 5080 to appear again lor.
But, having seen overseas REAL prices for the 5080/5090....actually our situation not as bad....to be realistic.

To be fair, nvidia really did f up this launch.
Or is it by design hmmm
