What’s the new price for 5090? Why so many shops price at 6-7k?
I have seen some shops sell for $5100ish past few weeks, those 6-7k greedy - to me these shops are dead I will never support them in the future.

Ya not just SG its worldwide. Although SG pricing is already ridiculous, just middle man wants to increase their price and increase their margins.

https://www.pccasegear.com/rtx5000

I got a 5090 ordered in New Zealand for $5300 NZD, while they never reopened the backorders, they increased the price listing to $6200.
think i will stay on my gtx 1080 forever

Honestly, the 5000 series is really best to skip if you can. 5090 more than 2x the price of the 4090 (2.7k+ to 5.1k+), it's no different from daylight robbery.

Price to performance ratio drop by 48%:
  • 4090 (2.7k Retail which I bought it)
    • 2700 / 108 (4K fps avg from HUB) = $25 per fps
  • 5090 (5.1K Retail at the cheapest now)
    • 5100 / 137 (4K fps avg from HUB) = $37 per fps
  • 5090 (to match the price/perf ratio of 4090)
    • 137 * 25 = $3425 (Unironically this is very close to the MSRP $3320 listed on Nvidia Singapore website)
Let's see what AMD does bah, though I think they'd tank their market-share to 7% based on the rumors I see on pricing. That kind of price won't move the needle, and they no longer have Consoles to save them since PS6 not due until 2027 or later.

I miss the early days when the mid-range is below 1k

Nowadays xx70 is like what 1.2-1.6k?

All the frame gen upscale thing, maybe its just me, but why would i buy a new card to frame gen to get more fps. I suppose i would only want to do the frame gen DLSS couple yrs later when things get more advanced.

Then all the 192-bit bus cards. funny last time 192bit is all the low end cards leh. Can still get the FPS but i dont know i just not happy to spend over 1k to get a 192bit card. lol

Ran the MH Wilds Benchmark at 4k DLSS quality, full ray tracing on 5080 and 9800x3d, no framegen.

Can see fps drop to below 60 fps from time to time. :(
Heard full release has better performance and 4k textures patch.

Me and friend bought from Mansa, delivery in like 2 days excluding weekends.

Got email from Techyard, mid to late next week, they'll get Zotac 5080s.

Time to be flipper on Carousell. :s22:

Very efficient. (y)

Nvidia's last quarter data center revenue was USD35.6 billion. Last I heard, Singapore accounts for 28% of Nvidia's revenue. Not sure of the exact numbers but let's put it at a low USD5 billion. Assuming 10% of those servers go to China, it is still USD 500 million worth for 3 months.

With these kind of numbers, it has to be the work of a syndicate and one with deep pockets. Can't be just a few people.

Let's see how deep the rabbit hole goes.

Good, past 2 week i reported suspected shop and wrote email to MTI.

My tip to SLS SHOPS and DISTRO is better not try funny things.
just curious which shop was it? I'm gonna go SLS tomorrow and spend my $500 deposit with Bizgram then I'll be done with SLS. Never going back there again, anything I want will just be overseas or shopee (even if its SLS shops).

Smart move. Buy every single desktop parts anywhere else but sls and their e-commerce platforms. Let their sales dwindle so they wont be able to survive till the next gpu release. run these notoriously scummy businesses 2 the ground. hopefully den, people with integrity cn actually sell the gpu to the people and not export to people paying double the price even tho illegal. sales like as if so many 4000 series buyers in sg for the past 2 years when actually high and dry dat even scalpers have a hard time getting at reasonable price. suspect start since 3000 series will scalper prices.
but nvdia oso at fault. drip selling gpus driving up prices with low supply high demand. the whole industry like trash thanks to the market leader, nvdia, starting this chain.

Tip of the iceberg if you ask me.
If SG is helping to sabotage the USA's lead in AI for the benefit of China (as it has done so here), then, as I have said before, sanctions are justified.
Perhaps Singapore's FTA with USA would need to be re-looked at.
As a matter of law and justice.

And, Singapore seems to taichi this away.
On the one hand, say that Singapore is not obligated to follow US trade restrictions/laws.
On the other hand, we say that individual businesses should follow both applicable Singapore and US trade laws. LMAO.
