Yes, same sentiment as you. I ported in a dormant TPG line that NEVER had spams.
Right after porting into Changi, I started to receive tons of spams international calls and messages.

I dare to say it is Changi Mobile that is "not clean", or somewhere during the porting process our number is "leaked".

is there a way to make a complaint? to IMDA/PDPC or something?

shouldn't the regulators have oversight with regards to data security?

so for those thinking of getting changi mobile, the cons are u get spam calls because ur numbers are somehow leaked/sold and u can't do OTP verifications if ur using their numbers instead of port in

I ported in my number. Didnt face any spam calls issue leh

I got 3 numbers with difference in the last 2 digits, the spam calls reached me one by one. So I believed spammers use excel spreadsheet of running numbers to spam.
Forget abt lodging complaints to DNC dept, they are just toothless tiger biting at locals only. They can't do anything to overseas scammers.

Good luck getting it resolved, Changi Mobile doesn't care . I brought it up to them since Changi Mobile started, they will ask u to contact Google to get it fixed (won't work unless u work at Google and raise it internally). They probably try to stop me from hounding them by saying that are contacting Google from their tech team to try and resolve the issues ( which I think is a lie)

Many people is receiving +65 daily. No matter yours is old or new numbers

And not even restricted to Changi Mobile. In the other lines at home, they regularly happen (sometimes as high as 15 a day) on Singtel, Starhub, TPG also.

Bot behaviour - it's very normal. Just sweep through the number blocks and call/SMS spam. It's no longer a human doing it, that's why the official term is "robocaller".

Just install the ScamShield app on iOS, or create a contact with just +65, and block all calls with that prefix.

Might cause some legitimate calls to be blocked as well, but if that person really needs to contact you, he/she will try other ways to contact you anyway.

Why do that when you can just do the call in sequential order

if (number>=80000000 && number <=99999999){
call number;
if (press 3) talk to human;
else if (terminated) number+=1;
}

This is psuedocode, but u get what I mean. That's why when u press any other number, the call will terminate. Their programming logic isn't like actual call centers, where they'll ask for the correct inputs first.

Just ported over to Changi Mobile just need some clarifications, saw in their terms and conditions online

"Changi Mobile Roaming can only be used for overseas Data Roaming. Changi Mobile Roaming currently does not support Overseas to Local calls, International calls, Overseas to Local SMS, International SMS."

But saw they have this Roaming Bundle of 300mins talktime + 30sms + 2GB data for $12. So if I apply the Roaming Bundle can I call from overseas to Singapore and receive/send SMS? or this roaming bundle is for calling within the country only?

There are times while still in 4G mobile data. But in fact my phone cant connect to whatsapp or even websites. I need on off phone. Is this normal for M1 netwotk?

Same case as when I need to toggle Airplane mode sometimes to "refresh" my internet connection. They said this is M1's trademark

This is normal for M1 based networks. Nothing new. It's a major issue for people who just want to be able to take out their phones from their pockets and use it as usual.
It can be frustrating when you are dependent on data messaging (iMessage, Email, WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal, FB Messenger, etc...) Cos as long as your data connection is down, you don't receive anything. The worst part, you don't know when your data is down cos it all looks okay, and you get family/friends/colleagues/bosses complaining why you are uncontactable/never reply.
It all came to light during the introduction of SafeEntry, when people realised they can't just check-in easily. I know people now who stick to their M1 based lines but only use the Token to check in.
Even now I still find that I have to toggle airplane mode to force a reconnection to base stations for data to work. That's why Changi Mobile is my backup line, not my main.

Just experience this today too. 4G full signal but whatsapp and website cannot load.

No roaming means no connection means no sms?
