Actually, i have access to "sea view" when looking out from my window at my mum's place in yishun. Almost everyday i could see and hear vessel coming by and the opposite is Malaysia! The only problem with the "sea view" is it is beri beri far. Lol. Anyway, i don mind whichever block as long as i have a place call home, quiet and nice to my comfy :). Have been staying away from singapore too long and tired of renting places overseas. Anyway, The surrounding will also have constructions for future housing, utimately a potential blocked view even though u might have a sea or resevoir view now :).

Thanks for sharing. I am actually looking at 8-11 floor. Depends on my ballot no. And availability too :)

@filumfu: lucky you to have mum's place having sea view! Majority doesnt enjoys tt like me - open window is HDB for last 3X years. But yup! Most important is a place call home!

Are you a first timer? If yes, since yours is 4rm, Yours shouldnt be a worry as HDB allocates priority to PPS (30%) & MCPS (30%) for 1st timer (out of the 85% allocation for 1st timer). Furthermore, ratio of 1st timer is 1.1 : 1 for 4rm Forest Spring @Yishun.

HDB BTO for Non-matured priority distribution is 30% to PPS, 30% to MCPS and 25% to Other families.

But i wonder will there really be so many PPS & MCPS applicants? Hmmm...
Usually 60 - 70% out of the 60% priority for PPS & MCPS???

Your chance very high lah.. I belong to the 25% Other Families! :s13:
Somemore, i dont entitled to any grants and need pay $10K more to the listed price due to other half is SPR. :o:o:o

Haha thanks for the positive hopes given ya :) Yes, am a first timer. I am oso not entitled to any grant cos i don have cpf at current. My loan is pathetic as my overseas pay is super duper low (hired as a local there). But i am confident that i can fetch a pretty decent salary when i return to singapore due to my job nature in the next 3-4 years. Will definitely have to apply for HLE again before key collection. My hubby is a foreign national..... have to keep on applying for active visa.... but luckily my child i apply for SC, can apply for public scheme under family nucleus. Wahaha

For grant, need to provide the record for 12 months of cpf contribution, i don have this leh. I was working in singapore for 3 yrs before i moved overseas and work. The cpf and my current salary doesnt qualify me to be eligible for a substantial loan amount.

Anyway, i won kena the 10k cos i will be the only applicant, my hubby is put as occupier instead :). Because ur other half will be out as applicant so will kena the 10k requirement neh

So its not enough CPF that affects the grant, but rather no income to entitle for grant due to 12mths contribution. :s22:

Wah (I DIDNT KNOW THIS!!!)... Got age requirement to put as sole applicant and other half as occupier anot? Can change during appt anot?? (Although i not sure my other half will agree to this) hahaha!

Is complicated for the grant lah. But for my case, i was told that if i am unable to produce records of my cpf contribution for 12 mths, it is unlikely that i can even submit the application. Anyway, is ok :).

no age requirement. My case is i am a SC by birth, my hubby is foreign national without any stay visa (not on long term visa as well) and my child at 9 mths is SC. When i apply, i will be the sole applicant, while my hubby and son is stated as occupant (required to state all occupants...). I am under public scheme for family nucleus (eligible for single applicant as long as you are married and have a sc child :)). Don noe whether can change bor or whether applicable for your case. U wanna check with HDB?

Curious!~ Can occupier repay loan through their CPF? Or it has to be the applicant only paying off the loan only?

No la. I know the 10K will be refunded when either my other half convert to SC or we have our first SC child. Then need inform HDB to refund and readjust the premium (though i thk is gonna take a lonnnnnnnng whileeeee for the refunnnnnnd to happennnn) haha!

the occupier will not be required to pay loan, is the applicant, meaning i will be responsible. Hahahah. Take money from my husband lah. But we intend to pay off some of it via cash if possible, then the rest take loan. Minimize the loan liability mah.

Thanks! Everyone can now be property guru! :s13:
Btw, no grant also good la as you need to repay back the grant + interest when you buy your next resale / EC property. (Though i feel i will nv get the grant due to income ceiling :(:(:( )

Know when will they display for May BTO? Will want to fly down see look if available before selection of flat. Also, Hope this forum will have ppl post pictures of the materials of tiles / door samples! :)

Haha, Same! i am already saving all the nice reno pictures by others for ideas for my BTO! Although its gonna be 4-5 years later... hahahaha :p

Yup! Have you got your shortlist units?! Facing lower seletar reservoir or facing JB or ?! :D
Don't need to be too kanchiong, the models will usually be out a short while after queue numbers are released, ie. just before selection begins so applicants can view them :) Mid to late July would be about right.

My other half die also wont convert. She shall remains as SPR. Hence only chance is a SG child to recall the 10K. :s13:

If the sole applicant pass away, the HDB will form part of estate?

I believe 2 joint applicants is better. If applicant A passed away, the full ownership and rights of the house will automatically pass to applicant B.

i don noe. But when u have a foreign spouse and you have a SC child less than 21 yrs of age, the application process would go by this way. Hence i am the oni sole applicant for now :)

How come so jialat? Totally no queue number or the queue number very big?

Can find your MP to consult?
I thot 1st timer only has 2 tries and additional 1 try for non-mature BTO if ballot unsuccessful. Else, will fall into 2nd timer as ballot unless applicant wait for a full year waiting period to be consider 1st timer ballot again?
