Can say MCPS is very satki. So many got small queue numbers for Feb 2017 BTO thread.

For Nov 2015 bidadari, my queue number is 600+ out of 1300. Considered middle. Applied under mcps too.

oh! thinking of using mcps too.. can i ask a few qns
1) so when i apply, i will need to ticks mcps as one of the schemes right?
2) is it true that when the bto launch, it will be more accurate for the hdb officer to check if the bto land plot is 2km within parents home? Am asking cuz my mum lives in a private residential, but its under the same SMC tho.
3) can apply mcps under fiance/fiancee scheme right? cuz not married officially yet

went for a recce over e weekends at night and i must say the area's pretty dingy. no wonder someone mentioned about not too ideal if you have kids. there's a signboard that appealed for witnesses for a modesty outrage crime.. but maybe it will be better with more humans around.

Thanks for the info. Will be more careful about it. Consider the value / accessibility etc,This area definitely worthwhile and will still go for it.

Hahahas... I think I saw it somewhere that area still developing and more things to come. Hopefully by the time BTO is up the place would be more awesome.

This may will try for bidadari as is near my gf parent but worried about the cost. We both earn mid 3k only.. Cpf combine around 200k. A bit scary to buy a near 600k 4 room flat

Assuming you take a 400K loan from HDB over a period of 25 years with a constant income of 7K combined.

Personally I think it's reasonable but be prepared to slog for 25 years straight and pray there's no recession.

what is not married officially? it's either not married or married in legal constitution. I dun think the law recognises pre-nuptial vow?

If anything, it's a dual one-lane street with 12 storey middle aged flats on one side and nothing on the other so it feels a little run down and quiet compared to the vibes from Admiralty and Punggol. There are also quite a few rental blocks in its vicinity, and two schools are nearby for those who care about morning bells.

the most expensive 4 room for nov 2015 bidadari was 535k. I don't think it will hit 600k lah....

The range in my time was 420-535k.

in relation to qn 1, during the application, are there options between mcps (near parents) and mcps (stay with parents)?

cuz mcps is married child priority scheme ma, so i thought at the point of application you need to be married like with marriage cert or something. versus a bf/gf status

no need...i'm living proof and embodiment of no need to be married at point of application. but when collect keys, need to produce marriage cert.

No need marriage cert for MCPS, and yes there is a difference between near and with parents because I had to distinguish between the two. Just cannot quite remember how so.

You intend to pay off the housing loan with cash? If not, seems quite tough to service the loan

U got 200k cpf no worries Lah... My Nov 2015 bidadari bto cost 500k. Back then, combined cpf 90k, combined income 7k, negligible cash savings.
Now with 100k combined cpf after 5% down payment, 8.5k combined income, with some cash savings, we are not too worried, but still savings lots. You are in a safe financial position.

Yup, shouldn't be that high for a 4rm in Bidadari but I was just referring to his earlier comment on a 600K unit.

The point is if a couple gets to work all the way for 25 years, it will never be a problem even with the same pay (for 25 years). The problem comes when recession hits, health problems, parent problems, etc.

I see, not an issue since you can still apply for BTO. If not, quickly try for a kid and apply under PPS .
