Dear Singtel,

I am still having fiber broadband contract with M1.
May I know if I am able to sign up for just the mioTV alone without Singtel Broadband or/and Singtel Landline?

Yes you can sign up for singtel tv service only without broadband subscription. However it will definitely comes with a digital line and it's monthly subscription as singtel tv cannot run without a digital line.. also, set top box charges will also apply.

Hi Xtremex,

The app can only be paired with our STB if you're using the Singtel-issued router.

Hope that clarifies.

Hi Singtel,

I have some doubts, May I know currently what is your setup box and router model for Singtel TV you are using now for new user or recontract?

I have been re-contract for many yrs but I still using the old Mio TV setup box (Motorola) as I see this old Mio TV setup have already starts to have some faulty power supply issue at times and the 2-wire router, Can the devices fully support on 300Mbps? are we still able to use them?

Recently I went to my friend house, I saw singtel give them a new black setup box.
And every time I re-contract, the officer didn't said they will provide me with the new setup box and router, so May you advise me abt this? not a very tech person.

Thank you.

set top box comes in 2 different distinct features, one with DVR and built in HDD and one without. which one you are given depends on your subscription as the rental fees are different between the 2. nevertheless, there are also 2 different brands but both are running almost the same.

singtel tv only require about 6mbps to stream HD content, the type of router used for your case, doesn't really matter. However for your power supply issue, it can be changed for the ac adapter if you report the fault to 1688.

For 300mbps, the 2wire router you using might not be able to maximise your experience with 300mbps speed plan, perhaps you can lodge a case with Singtel-hwz account for advice..

Yes it's plug and play. No special set up require apart from the wireless settings where you set the SSID and password.

Any issue u can call 1688, they can access your router remotely for configuration or troubleshooting.

This convenience is not extended to 3rd party routers.

Home plugs lor. But freezing images are one concern when your home plugs are not performing..

Wifi mesh is still the best in wireless set up..

hi. came across this post to clarify something.

today i had singtel technician to come and set up my fibre home bundle (1Gpbs).

the problem is that, my singtel tv is in my master bedroom running in adsl line and my singtel router (ac1900) is in my living room. in my online sign up i requested for the wifi mesh, so i can run wirelessly from my singtel router to my singtel tv so it eliminates the adsl line.

however, the technician told me its not advisable/recommended by singtel to run singtel tv on wifi mesh and asked me if i want to remain in adsl line. with much confusion, i decided to remain in such way. but i realise that my singtel tv go app requires fibre internet to enable home view. (because when i tried singtel tv go app concurrently on my iPhone and samsung tab, one of the device automatically dc stating that "this live tv session is interrupted because there is a new session requested by the same singtel tv account. please note that each account is allowed only one live tv session.).

what i have signed up is singtel tv go plan 2 which allow 3 home view users. but due to my singtel router not tagged to my singtel mio tv set up box, I'm getting this problem. this totally defeats the purpose of me signing up the contract.

so i want to clarify, is the wifi mesh able to wirelessly connect my singtel tv set up box with my singtel router?

please kindly advised on this matter. urgently.. thank you in advance.
