Think of it as spending lesser. What number you gotten?
If still fall within supply would you choose another development?

I am outside 1.5 times of the no. of unit available. I think of it as a blessing in disguise since hsk just announce additional grant for resales yesterday. :D :D

Yup, we stand to get $70k in grants with immediate effect (50k cpf grant + 20k proximity grant), assuming >$5k incom.

Looking at clementi Feb '17 4-room bto prices really makes West Edge price sound alot more affordable. Hopefully you get to choose too if you dont mind West Edge.

Thanks thanks, but I have short listed a few resales unit liao. Always wanted an older flat for the bigger living space.

West edge is a lot cheaper cuz of the location. Went to recee before too.

Guys usually how much do we have to pay upfront when we get the house?

The Payments:

1) On the day you select a flat -

you need to pay an option fee of ($500-$2000) depending on your flat type, i.e. 2 rm, 3 rm or 4-5 rms

2) On the day you sign the lease agreement -

you need to pay about 1% to 3% of the flat's selling price as legal and stamp fees using CPF and/ or cash +

Presuming you are not taking Staggered Downpayment Scheme.

If you are taking a housing loan from HDB:
You need to pay 10% of the flat's selling price as downpayment using CPF and/ or cash

If you are taking a housing loan from a bank/ financial institution:
You need to pay 20% of the flat's selling price as downpayment.

3) When you move into your new home -

You will need to pay the balance of the flat's selling price with a loan from HDB or a bank/ financial institution, or using CPF and/ or cash.

So a lot of letters state April selection, but in actual fact will start earlier. I looked through previous threads on SBF, and selections seemed to begin as early as 2 weeks after the results.

Anyone knows when CCK selection will actually begin? Most of their flats are ready or ready soon. Hoping that the latest announcements of resale grants will raise the dropout rate :D

Was there looking at eastcrown, manage to talk to few contractors there.... i was advised to choose eastcrown over eastbrook due to eastbrook is too near to rental flat....
Apparently punggol area also have some project with rental flat... tat area is quite rowdy n messy n dirty. It's quite common shoe, umbrella and items on common area went missing....etc rubbish n beer bottle are often laying around...
Apart from that, when standing in eastcrown can see that it is near to train station n main road...
just something to share la, since the contractor told me about it, and it never occurred to me before :)

Not trying to be discriminatory but it is a known problem with rental flats. :(

I live near rental flats now, and yes those are common sights around here. :(
