Sounds like there is be a ballot for the balance of sales of balance flats in between the 2 current sbf per year. And for these, they will leave all balance flats in a common pool so u don't have to choose by town or flat type. Meaning if u are queue number 1, u can choose between all balance flats in all towns available

Kallang heights layout is like an octagon.many inwards facing units.feels claustrophobic



Kallang trivista is like 3 point blocks.atleast not completely covered by concrete all side.

Hdb is rolling out more and more bto than before. Clearly advantageous to buyers than sellers.

Unfortunately, that is not the case in my opinion.
While HDB is clearly rolling out more BTO and faster BTO, they are mainly located at new estate (Punggol) and they are trying to build new "satalite" towns like Tengah and Bedok south (among many such as CCK, etc)

Location of Kallang still unbeatable, with Boon Keng near it. (Boon Keng should still have some plots) And, to see these newer BTO flush into the resale market, we need around 5-10 years. At that time, we do not know the market (if it is booming like before), the price will be even higher. HDB is very much pegged to the private property and HDB is trying to ensure Flats are kept below the private prices. (there are many theories) [I am not mentioning Bidadari yet]

So with that, I do not see Kallang prices come down hard. Perhaps, in a bad market, 600+ could be possible. The market will not be flooded with flats that are near city (private properties, maybe)

Yes, I did see a lot of residential. Many already have the flats built and some already drawn out.

But that did not specifically point to HDB (could be private). Or did I miss out on the legend?

Got a queue number of 283/372 ...haiz... should be left with "lousy" flats... not much chance of getting any of the flats that we r eyeing..

so for those with poor luck like me, something for fyr

To enable those with more urgent housing needs and are less particular about location to have quicker access to a flat, HDB will introduce a new sales mode for unsold balance flats. Unsold flats that remain after SBF exercises will be offered for sale at regular intervals via ballot, with priority given to first-timer households.

5 HDB will offer these flats for balloting in one common pool, instead of separate selection queues for each town and flat type. HDB will launch the first such exercise in the second half of this year. More details will be announced nearer the date.

Actually I am quite confused. Does it mean that they will have their normal Sale of Balance and they will add on a sale of balance balance flats? LOL. That's what I interpret from "Unsold flats that remain after SBF exercises will be offered for sale at regular intervals via ballot,..."

In this case, I think only the sale of balance balance flats will be put in the common pool. the normal SBF still remains as it is.

Which leads to the question of how regular is considered "regular intervals" hmm

I have a feeling this will be in Aug, probably to coincide with BTO launches.

I dunno abt u guys but the waiting is sure stressful. Cos even when u guys say that the selection areas are done alphabetically, CCK has yet to come up in the 'Flats for Selection' page.

My number is 4X out of 96 for 4rm in CCK. And HDB just gave the template answer of selection starts in April 2017.

SBF this time round is different. It is not by alphabetical order like past SBFs anymore. No way that S is ahead of J or P. They are using a different method this time. Neither is it going by Mature followed by Non-Mature.
