Sbw 3rm selection already started~

The reason why i chose 3rm was cause I didn't want a huge portion of my salary to go to installments. I dont really want any huge changes in my lifestyle even after having my own flat.
But then again, after seeing the 3rm size i was contemplating whether i should take 4rm instead. But in the end i dont think i can tahan waiting again for the next sobf so 3rm it is! Lol

I see. That is true also, don't want too have too many instalments happening.

Just for your info,
The next SOBF will be May 2017. In 2016, it was launched on 24 May 2016. So I am assuming is around then for this coming one. This is just in case for me la. Though of cos I wish you the best of luck in selecting your unit!

If do part by part, it's troublesome. Depending on the works done (smelly), messy, and have to spend money on protection.

At least get basics done I guess.

My plan is perhaps renovation first.. furniture slowly..

yes yes, i checked liao. the last queue number today has been updated means selection has restarted again for cck.
actually my queue number is out of the range of flats available. but if the dropout rate maintain at 30% or more, then i can choose le. hopefully still have good units hehe. keeping positive!

actually my queue number is out of the range of flats available. but if the dropout rate maintain at 30% or more, then i can choose le. hopefully still have good units hehe. keeping positive!

i will record what is the last queue number too. also i noticed that for the past week during my area selection, it usually stops at around 5pm. by then can record how many book and how many no show.

I still need another 5 queue number to drop out then I can choose. Hopefully no more drop outs, else I will lose my "First Timer" status.

Btw guys, I found this link of a previous SBF timeline. I think I saw someone here mentioned that they came across it before but lost the link. It should be useful for everyone

Although the author had based the timeline off her own application in SBF Nov 2015, I had compared it to my own application of this current SBF Nov 2016. The releasing of balloting results & selection appointment results is alot faster now.

Yes, there is going to be an SBF in May. A previous news report (last mth?) had mention that there should be about 3000 flats released for it. I had also confirm this with multiple HDB officers over the phone (yes, I called alot of times ). So far from all the past SBF that I could find out about, details of the flats will only release when they launch the exercise itself. And SBF covers the whole of SG. Not like BTO, where only certain areas are open.

no idea, cos.. your queue number is really high and the ethnic quota is low. i personally think your chances are quite slim
my chinese quota is 61, my queue number is 7x. currently drop out rate is about 30%.

so you sign up for SBF and then can select ANY units ( that one is eligible ? ), which means who has the better Q # will have a better chance of getting a better unit ?

Also price from SBF is more ex than BTO right?

You choose an area you want to ballot for and the usual queue number rules apply. SBF is a bit more expensive, but usually they aren't that big of a diff from launch price until they become units ready to move in
