My advice is, if you have the money to invest in a new WiFi router, use that money instead on a contractor that can do lan cabling in your home. It will cost less than $200 for a long distance Lan cable straight to your room or wherever.

Then, you can enjoy this kind of break neck speeds for your laptop/PC and definitely for your PS5.

As for WiFi, unless you have true WiFi 6 devices which actually needs a lot of antenna in said device, your upgrade to WiFi 6 will be a disappointing one. Especially for phones which might still not achieve the full WiFi 6 capability.

Just go and search YouTube review or test videos where they show you the WiFi 6 router that some people have mentioned here and see the kind of results you'll get with actual home usage. Take note, our walls are mostly bricks and not drywalls. So you can further decrease the speed from what they get too.

As for lan cabling, I did it years ago as recommended by a thread on HWZ.
Or something like this one. https://www.facebook.com/btohomenetworkingnew/

For example, PS5 game download speeds.

Meaning plug direct into the LAN port on the wall ? Then router and home wifi will be down for me ... I think i only have only one such port on the wall ....

No. Do no remove the current lan cable from the modem to your router.

You are supposed to use the other 4 lan ports on your router where you can then connect some devices directly to the router as opposed to depending on WiFi to connect to the said router.

And if you need more, than you can use an old router lying around as a switch to allow for more wired devices to connect via Lan. (just make sure it is in AP mode and turn off the WiFi on that old router)
But for a typical user, the only device that need wired are PC, PS5 and whatever streaming device you have at home like your TV or TV box. So these will be the few devices where you want to get 100% stable connection and LOWEST latency and the FULL 1Gbps speeds.

Yup LAN cabling is the best solution to get the best speed
I wired up my house with 2 LAN ports in each bedroom and living room TV console area got 3 LAN ports.
1 LAN port at the center of my house above the false ceiling which I install a wireless router to act as AP so my whole house can get wifi signal even in toilet :s13:

Thanks all for the advice and lessons learned 👍🏼

Btw, if don't have to do cabling work etc, the next best thing for coverage is to get Wifi mesh system. I am using netgear orbi RBK53 (not wifi 6 model), connected my PS5 via lan port to my living room satellite which is on wireless backhaul connection to the main router in one of the guest room. Able to get decent download speed at ard 400Mps on M1 1Gps plan.

Just to share, the DualSense charging station is available for purchase in the 313 Sony Store. About three units left on the shelf, after I bought one. :)

Happened twice to me, didn't put in rest mode and it just happened. Waited for long while then can power on.

If u just wanna choose between these 2, definitely the steelseries. Alot bad reviews about the pulse. Avoid it.
