My Dualsense suddenly is unable to charge. Will prob bring it down as soon as possible.
Just wanted to ask..
What PS5 barcode pic they needed?
And they swapped out a new one for you?
If not, how long is the waiting period?

It means that many people are willing to pay 1k or more for PS5 now, Sony could have easily launched this at 1k and everything will still be sold out.

I think 2k a bit hard to clear the market, 3080 is still vastly more powerful than current gen of consoles and the GPUs can be used for other things like mining, other than gaming.

But if Sony and Microsoft tomorrow announce price hike to 1k people will likely still buy from them directly.

ToG just contacted me cos i filled up their wishlist in May. Collecting in Nov. digital edition with 1 controller. but idk what games are out there, im out of touch.

i woke up at 5am this morning just to watch the state of play...as i always did.

but looking at the slate of things announced on state of play so far, i think this will be the last time i woke early for any playstation state of play....

Unless it's those major 'future of playstation' showcase, those 'state of play' showcase can just skip altogether. unlike the nintendo direct showcase which will always have at least one hype things to see, the sony state of play so far and the epitome of 'anti-hype'.....it's like they purposely showcase the stuff that sucked the hype out of the room...no offense to any games shown there.

Gave in and got one from scalper. Not my proudest and wisest moment. At least for now I can take my mind off hunting for one at retail and focus on other thing.

I can't believe that the PS5 is still not available in stores after released a year ago. I nearly give up and wanted to get from scalpers but I control the urge. Luckily I got mine from Sony Online in March, thanks to bros in this forum who advised and announced the sudden released of online stocks. So far played Hitman, Spiderman, Fifa 22 & Resident Evil. Waiting for COD Vanguard and WWE2K22. I really enjoyed the PS5. No regrets.

The reason is many scalpers are game/electronic store employees. They are first to discover new stocks in their workplace and snap them up at MSRP to resell on Carousell for profit. Online store websites like Courts, Harvey Norman and Best Denki also don't conscientiously update their stock status. So even if website indicates no stock, there could be limited stock available in some of their outlets.

The only way to purchase stock at MSRP is to try your luck by visiting various outlets of the Big 3 electronics giants or ordering from Sony online if they accept. Otherwise, be prepared to pay a premium to scalpers. Scalpers will tell you they're also trying to make some money in tough economic times.
