Happy to report that the 19.25 plan worked rather well during this morning peak hour ride 830-9. I was able to listen to radio, read news article, Reddit, received WA. Connection broke between Bishan to Braddel which require a manual trigger to restart radio. Just leaving orchard, connection went down for like 10 secs but doesn’t require manual restart (it auto connect back).

these are vast majority improvements than compared to vivifi where I could not do any one of those single item above.

For the 15.28 sim only plan,

Is there a way to check the 50gb free Malaysia monthly data usage stats?

is it a 5G SA plan with same speed as 5G enhanced core plan? Are standard calls routed by VoLTE or VoNR?

when is the ideal time to recontract this plan before 12 months is up? Based on terms, all the bonus data and included talk time is ceased after the contract ends
Yeah, it appears in the roaming section of the app of 0/50gb monthly as bundle:

This is what written in the app:
“Bundled Malaysia Roaming 50GB
0GB used

Expires 30 Nov”

I think it is normal 5G plan, not the priority/plus. What is SA?

You are right, just checked MySingtel app and found that as well.

We have two S$15.28 per month Singtel SIM Only lines now, one with 6GB Bundled Malaysia Roaming (earlier recontract offer), the other with 50GB (newer recontract offer).

Basically the S$15.28 per month supports 5G SA and also SingTel's "5G+" marketing terms (700 MHz band, 5G SA capable). It is not labelled as "5G+ Enhanced" and could be a bit lower priority than the plans with the label of "5G+ Enhanced".

As of now, Singtel Gomo and Singtel based MVNOs only get 5G NSA and not 5G SA. But they will get Singtel 5G SA soon as Singapore telcos are supposed to shut down 5G NSA by the end of 2025 following a directive from the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) to transition to the more advanced 5G Standalone (SA) architecture.

That's very interesting. Was your vivifi on 5g as well?

If that IMDA directive was to be strictly enforced, then it seems there is no purpose for the '5G Standalone' toggle in iphone mobile data settings anymore. Also seems iphone is capable of showing 5G+ symbols but just not yet in SG infra yet I guess:

5G SA speed for singtel is around 600-700Mbps on average outdoors?

Not necessarily. It all depends on the locations.

For my testing, sometimes it is greater than 1000 Mbps, sometimes it is 200 Mbps or even lower.

Take note the S$15.28 per month Singtel SIM Only Plan does not have the label “5G+ Priority” or "5G+ Enhanced" label inside MySingtel app.

However, I do not see that the "5G+ Enhanced" plans have any better benefits than the S$15.28 per month plan.

My Singtel S$15.28 per month plan 5G+ using a Poco X7 Pro vs SingTel 5G+ Priority using an iPhone 16 Pro Max.

5G+ Priority wins.
iPhone 16 Pro Max wins.

I guess to have an apple to apple comparison, need to compare using the same device, day/time, location and test server for objective fairness:

  • S$15.28 5G+ plan
  • any 5G+ Enhanced plan
  • any 5G+ Priority plan

Already compared before $15 and priority free trial. 0 difference whatsoever.

Only true benefit is during concerts/f1
