Hah oh well. Already sign the 19.25 yesterday. Once port in hopefully Monday can report the result…

You can always try it to see how it goes.

If not good, you can add the 5G+ Priority Pass to see if that helps, one month no contract is at S$19.90. If good then can add six months contract at S$17.90 per month. The total is still cheaper than going with the Priority Plus plan at S$55 per month.

The 1000 minutes are just for outgoing. Incoming is free.

In this case, is 700 minutes good enough from the Enhanced Core plan at S$40 per month (no contract)?

FYI, some users subscribe to the no-contradct Enhanced Core plan for one month, and they will jump to the S$15.28 per month plan (with 12 months contract). It has 1000 minutes talk time.

SingTel SIM Only Plus recontract offer (not for new sign-up or port-in).

Thanks again for your prompt reply.
But what happened on 13th month? Does it auto revert to original price?
If so, it's kind of hassle to monitor when it closing to expiration of contract; and there's no extension and promotion, I will need to revert to the other plan again?

Correct, it will revert.

But Singtel will send you SMS reminder that your contract will expire based on my recent experience.

You can usually recontract one month before, you may want to put a reminder. As for such promotion, it has been there since 2020, so I am confident it will still be there next year.

If you do not like the hassle, then just go with other providers without contract.

Anyone on Singtel plan; are there Add-Ons for extra minutes and overseas roaming?
Starhub Starplan M Add-Ons: $1 for 50 minutes & Roaming $6 for 1 GB APAC (3 days IIRC).

For what when you have many other options like SIMBA/Eight etc. that provides more and cost cheaper than buying such VAS?
Because network coverage and bandwidth differs. Because roaming partners may differ and even identical roaming partners may offer different bandwidths. Saw a Facebook post where overseas roaming network was identical but bandwidth differed due to different Singapore mobile providers.

Yeah sure, but you're gonna pay more with no guarantees since one is roaming, so still don't get the point of paying more.
Local users will be priortise over roaming users no matter which mobile providers since bandwidth allocated for roaming is likely the same.

Can I ask why after the port in, my telco show “Singtel WiFi calling” …? What is this sia?
Means you are receiving a perk that others like me are not getting. :s13:

But to answer your question:
Wi-Fi calling, also known as VoWiFi, is a feature that allows you to make and receive calls and texts over a Wi-Fi network instead of a cellular network. This technology uses Voice over IP (VoIP) to send calls over the internet, which is especially useful in areas with weak or no cellular service, like basements or buildings with thick walls. To use it, your device and phone plan must support it, and you may need to enable it in your phone's settings.

Oh cool. So if I’m at home and use the phone to call out, it won’t eat into my plan outgoing call usage as it will be using WiFi ?
Ehhh, from an old Singtel FAQ
"There is no additional subscription charge for WiFi Calling however, all outgoing calls and SMSes made through WiFi Calling will be deducted from your existing mobile plan’s allocated talktime and SMS bundles. Any excess usage will be billed at normal local rate respectively."

It will. VoWIFI is paired together with VoLTE / VoNR

In the case or situation that your mobile signal to the nearest tower is weak or non-existent, VoWIFI will enable your call to have better clarity as it can push high bandwidth.
Basically offloading call bandwidth to the broadband/internet instead of the cell tower

Ultimately, you are still using your allocated bundle. No free lunch.

For the 15.28 sim only plan,

Is there a way to check the 50gb free Malaysia monthly data usage stats?

is it a 5G SA plan with same speed as 5G enhanced core plan? Are standard calls routed by VoLTE or VoNR?

when is the ideal time to recontract this plan before 12 months is up? Based on terms, all the bonus data and included talk time is ceased after the contract ends

1. Not sure, never use the roaming feature yet.

2. Speed should be the same (can reach above 1Gbps).

However, the "Enhanced Core" plan and even the two "Enhanced Lite" plans may well have a bit higher priority since it is labelled as "5G+ Enhanced". The S$15.28 per month plan does not have such label, even though it also supports "5G+".

3. If you are already on the S$20.37 per month plan or S$15.28 per month plan or other Singtel SIM Only plans with 12 months contract, you can usually carry out recontract at the 11th or 12th month. Singtel may also send you recontract offer earlier and then you can also carry out recontract earlier if the offer is the right one for you.

If you are on Singtel 24 month contract, then better only recontract to the S$15.28 per month plan after contract expires, or just a few days before.

If you are on the new Singtel SIM Only plans without contract (eg: S$40 per month "Enhanced Core" plan), then you can try to recontract to the S$15.28 per month plan just after one month, or a few days before one month. This is a trick some users use to jump into the S$15.28 per month plan, no guarantee it will always work. If not working then you may have to port out to other providers.
