official JB 4.3 firmware has been leaked!!! You can download and flash via FlashTool here

apparently it looks just like Z1 on 4.2.2 with same UI.. we even get the Camera UI :D the Themes have been updated, we now get a link to a Sony Select section where we can download customized Themes.. which will change the NavBar/colors etc!

screenshots of the firmware can be found here

not really when u use the flash tool you can exclude the cache app and data to be excluded from flashing so ur user data s not wiped and after the upgrade u still have ur settings and apps..

it'll be better to wipe everything since it's a non-local f/w which may or may not be compatible
in case it screw ur everything, juz wipe and re-sync lo

Broken USB flap/cover

My Xperia X USB flap/cover spoilt liao

There is a rubber sealant on the flap.

But half of it is popping out. It appears that it pops out because the glue doesnt hold it in place anymore. While the other half is still glued on.

So the flap can only be pressed half into its place.

Anyways,

Where and how can I get it replaced?

Is Sony Service Centre at Junction 8 the only place?

Do I have to send in my phone and wait for days and weeks?

Do I have to pay for this part and labour too? Its still within warranty period leh. Roughly how much, anyone knows?

Or can I just buy the part and change myself, if its possible? Cos it seems like the cover is attached to this little white strip between the phone and the flap. If its possible to detach the flap from this white strip, maybe I can just snap on the new flap onto the white strip and its done.

Thanks.

Mine also rubber spoil liao. Didn't send it in as I think it cost $50 for all the flaps and changing phone next year :s13::s13:. Can send in at Wisma also. You can try, maybe you can get it for free? :s13::s13:

then how to get rid of the phone with the flap spoil?

cant sell away to anyone with a spoilt flap, cos value sure will drop a lot.

i feel its ridiculous if u have to pay for this spoilt part when its under warranty.
