Cfm nt covered under warranty. Need pay to get it repaired

Sigh the screen itself is perfectly fine so I guess I can continue to live with this for now

Went down to their office today, passed them the phone for inspection. Initially the guy wanted to offer me some "freebies" if i can keep the phone.

But of course i chose to wait for their stock for a 1-to-1 exchange because afterall it's a 600+ dollar item not a 6 dollar item. Left the phone with them and they gave me receipt as prove. Have to go down again to collect when stocks come. Estimated earliest stocks as told by them is 10th FEB onwards. Not sure where the phone i returned will go, maybe to another unsuspecting buyer ??

Overall, the liaising person Ms Lee is very friendly and customer service so far so good. Will see how it goes when stocks come.

Local sets more exp lo... Some feel is nt worth cos the markup is quite high and oneplus so far not much issue with their phones

If you look at the listing for their 256GB model on the official shop

" 8GB+256G Storeage is HD1900, CN box, include OnePlus 3 Pin Warp Charger, Oxygen OS Global Rom "

This is basically a china set with a mark up of $100~$200 compared with buying from other sellers also selling china sets. But of course local set got "local warranty" and they throw in the 3 pin warp charger ($49) . Whether this is worth i guess depends on how much you value that "warranty".

For me yes, these days the quality of China phones are good. Basically in the first few months if nothing happens, it generally lasts>

The official shop sells 7t 128 at around 800+ while on Qoo10 u can get for as low as 570, even cheaper if can have amex Qcoins 10% off

Lol me too.
I just called and they said only have stock for OnePlus 7 pro.
Stock for 7t will only come after 25 February

Makes me wonder how they manage to get 7 pro but not 7t since both needs to ship from China.
If mi 10 pro arrives before 25th, I might have to make a decision

Simple logic.shipment delayed cause of Corona virus. OnePlus 7 pro have stock cause it's already in their inventory (old stock can't clear). Doubt mi10 pro will arrive before 25th Feb as they are all from China. My cheap case from AliExpress ordered since 23rd Jan stuck till 27feb only can start shipping from China.

The markup seems quite minimal... I guess I have to makeup my own mind.

The delay due to the virus is 1 thing.

The main problem is the shop put as ready stock yet when we bought and call in to collect, they mention that there was no stock
