Using export OP8 china version with global rom which i bought yesterday. Took 2 bus rides and an MRT ride today using Google Pay. No problems. Detection is instant.

No issues using G Pay on public transport. Mine is CN OP8 running on "AA" ROM. Using G Pay that came pre-installed

those have knowledge on flashing roms their previous oneplus devices, can try doing that on their local set to see if it resolves this issue. so far only local devices 8/8 pro facing such problem

ya probably do a full wipe, rom less and reflashing it or normal wipe and reflash global AA OS on top. i can’t see why export no issues and only local sets having this problem.

Mostly it is a software issue that they need to fix it. I actually use my Samsung watch if I really need to take bus or mrt.

I had no issues w gpay on bus when I was on 10.5.6AA. I could try a flashing custom rom to see if it can work

Most places are selling 8gb and 12gb $100 difference. $1149 sounds decent. You can probably find slightly cheaper if you check Carousell. But tbh just deal with the shop/platform you most comfortable with.

Yeah, probably old fashioned but I prefer seeing a physical store tho. Haha. Seems like moby has been around for a while, should be safe. Thanks man/sis!
