on the floorplan, it writes "STORE", so is it storeroom or bomb shelter?
I prefer to have FTP in storeroom for easier access if necessary, because if it is in living room, it will be covered by false wall and TV console.
SCDF bomb shelters have heavy doors like this:

gamsia, mine is just a normal door, without that round "window" as well!
Then i guess you can install in your storeroom lor.

reason being......?
If you are trying to hide it, makes no sense to run cables to another location and concealing the cables right?
May as well dump everything at a spot.

Just my 2 cent worth.

I see, i see..

But installing both FTP and patch panel at different places makes no sense.

Ya. Makes no sense, but that might be the best for a bomb shelter. But since it is already clarified that it is a storeroom, then no issues liao.

What I am saying that from my experience, it might be quite difficult to work with the opennet folks to get them to install in places u want. However your own contractor might offer you this flexibility as you paid them to do so.

Installing FTP and patch panel in different locations might be a way to work around this

Cos opennet might not agree to install in bomb shelter cos they scared violate hdb or scdf regulations. Installing in living room sure can one. But your contractor might have his means to pull cat6 or your own fibre into the bomb shelter. Hence win win problem solved.
U might want to patch a few Rj45 points to your TV area just in case next time they offer IPTV via NGN

It varies, the opennet guys that installed my FTP told me cock and bull stories to try and get me to install at the living room when i told them to install in my bedroom all the PCs and router is in my bedroom.

They told me:
1)Wireless is faster than LAN cable when i told him i want the FTP in my bedroom.
2)Told me in the future, TVs will run on fiber(True, but knowing my mother, she won't ever sign Cable/IPTV)

Frankly speaking, Cat 5e cabling is cheaper.........

Not sure how much 5e cost.
But i feel since the ugliness is quite permanent, might as well spend the money.
Renovating of the flat costs tens of thousands, what's the mere $200..
