if they insist that users broke it then it a very difficult arguement

If user nv touch the box at all and cable break inside trunking or Termination box... confirm is contractor fault no escape 1. Opennet wil send singtel staff together with contractor 1. After checking if the 2F cable break or splicing break inside the box then singtel wil ask contractor rectify it on the spot. After tt they will fine contractor $$$ :s13:

How long now do we need to wait for installation if we sign up singnet fibre?

IM currently on the 100Mbps plan with the white ONT. ($50+ per month)

I recontracted around may with M1 for their 200Mbps@$39 thinking i can save $20 per month for more speed. Till now service not delivered.

They can blame open-net all they want and for all i care whos ever fault it is. But whos being punished by paying the extra bill for an extra 4 months although i faithfully recontracted when my plan is over?
So be careful when signing up for fiber plans during this comex.

My old plan cost $59, i thought by recontracting i can save $20 each month, not true man.

Well, never tried asked them to waive your subscription since the service is not provided to you? And BTW, is your address NGNBN ready when you signed up with them? My HDB block is only ready on 2013 July, so yes (And not those just BTO finished one).

AFAIK from last PC show, the smaller RSP like MR & VQ allows you to delay for 3 months and if something like that happens, the contract will be voided.

Singnet Fiber or Starhub etc does not make a difference. It is still via Opennet to install the TP / Activate Port 2 which is still dependent on where you stay since the capacity is different.

Does anyone know what this mean? Check on openet website, my block shows the same thing too!

ha..this mean your fiber is serve by a certain mdf room. And this mdf is located in another building. This building Building management or MCST is not giving Opennet access thus delaying the testing by opennet. But i may be wrong lah

Wah! That's really bad! Did you call M1 management? It's not even your fault. They should only start to bill you after the service activated.

I intend to check out MR & VQ for the coming comex. No confidence with our 3 big....

Hi Bibu00,

Try to talk to M1 Billing again... I've asked them to offset (not waive 100%) the $20 diff from monthly bill. Only frustrating thing is that you need to call them every month until the new plan is activated upon the 2 appts are done. HTH.

the way you describe is very confusing. From your first sentence, it gave me the impression that it is your first signup and they did not activate your Fibre up till now. Upon reading further then I realized you actually recontracted but since you already signed the recontract paperwork in May, why are you paying the normal price $59? I understand there is some delay from OpenNet but that part is to provision the 200Mbps upgrade right? Since that didn't happen and you already have your 100Mbps running, you should try to talk to M1 CSO and request to carry on the 100Mbps on the recontract price instead of waiting for them for the "upgrade".

On top of GPGT's comment, I would like to addon:

Some more I don't understand if you had actually re-contracted since Fiber was ready 2 years ago, this means that the port 1 has already activated. I know probably M1 wants you to return the white NC ONT and replace to their M1 Net black ONT, but isn't that a swap of ONT can le?

Furthermore, shouldn't the Fiber Optics support the speed of 1Gbps and probably more (SingaporeONE back in 1990s also would not thought of Cable Coaxial point can support 100Mbps speed when that time is mainly using 56kbps dialup or 128kbps broadband ADSL). Hence, your upgrade from 100Mbps to 200Mbps should not be a problem for OpenNet's capacity?

I just referred back to some of M1's thread and saw that for those with white ONTs who recontracted 100Mbps to upgrade to 200Mbps (M1 black ONT support 200Mbps), they will need to have 2 appointment dates. First one is to collect back the white ONT which belongs to OpenNet and the 2nd app is for M1 side. Since now there is a delay on OpenNet side, it became the bottleneck so the 1st app is affected.

Correct me if I am wrong, this is what I have gathered after spending the past 2 hours reading.

So my advise for those who are stucked, if calling M1 CSO doesn't help... try their M1 website contact page, usually someone senior will call and attend to you personally. Since you have already signed the recontract, there no reason for you to pay the normal price since this is not your fault so you need to know how to talk to the M1 person.

To clarify, i am on the 100MBPs plan with the white ONT now. Sign up 2 years ago. Paying $50+ every month.
Then i recontract to 200mpbs plan since may and till now its not delivered. The current 200mbps plan is cheaper by $20.

I am paying the old plan price, even though im suppose to save $20 by recontracting to 200mbps.

What your situation is summarized by GPGT. Just that ONT belongs to OpenNet? I thought the white one belongs to Nucleus Connect (Which M1 must liase with them one de)?
