Totally agreed!

Most probably play same game again, buy from Telco no screen crack protection hence the lower price @ maybe $1899 or $1999?

Den buy from other channels, maybe preorder offer @ $2199 or $2299?

If they priced it @ $2399, it's gonna be a very hard sell. V3 more worth in that case.
for me V3 isnt that worth it in 2025 with 8G3

I think the option can be set

Forced desktop mode is different from native desktop mode, not that great in alignment and features.

Most ppl I observed get foldable just for the dual large screens and launching two apps at once. Maximizing the potential of a foldable is much more than that. My next ideal foldable will be hopefully(dreaming) a combination of:

1. Vivo x100 ultra set of cameras
2. Oxygen OS
3. Desktop mode
4. Design similar to honor v3

Take my money if there's such a thing in future.

V3 outside now selling at 1750 or lesser makes it a very deal IF N5 is priced way higher say 2.3k.

Imho last gen chipset is still good enough for everyday use unless you really need that extra power.

Only thing now is unconfirmed price. 8g3 being "still good enough", yes, but if thats the only case, then my current N3 with 8g2 is also still good enough then.

Anyway had hands on with the demo set that is function locked, physically is really slim compared to N3. And tbh it's not that difficult to unfold for me, unlike what another bro said.

Selling points for n5 are likely,

1. Thinness of 8.93mm
2. Better battery capacity
3. AI (deepseek) and connectivity of Oppo ecosystem
4. Success of n3 (eg crease)
5. First sd elite foldable

Est price 2,599sgd.

Ah beng shop put n5 with 5 free gifts.

As long as you feel is good enough, it's good enough.
For a techie, a older tech at a higher price after a year+ depreciation is not value enough. Tbh, when N3 was launched at end oct 23 when 8g3 is coming out, I wasn't too fond of the price also, bought it still coz of Oppo's 1st global book foldable

Ah my worst nightmare come true, I was actually worried it would be above 2k... If that's the case I'd really probably keep my n3

Est price is my own estimate, with my assumptions.

I dont really see companies down price, the most maintain as per predecessor

This year alot of reused+reduced tech and "focusing on AI" is coz of the tariffs+sanctions... It really hurts the mobile side

I'm very turned off by the 8mp ultrawide.

how is it going to affect mobile photography? especially for those wide-angle shots (landscapes, sky etc.) it'll look quite bad right? when we zoom in.
