Yea i found mun but since its compulsory 5 yrs for engine its more expensive so no go for me :o

Co op - can work get experience and make $$ to cover fees.
https://www.mun.ca/coop/employers/salary_information/

Co op term not sure need to pay full fees for most cause no. Optional Co op can use to take class. Work experience gives u the opportunity to network and get PR. Not sure how the math is done here

yea i know can get some extra money to pay off school fees

i would be glad to enter this kind of programme if not for the fact that my parents are rather unwilling to allow me to stay on in canada and work after graduation haiz :(:(

and patryn - whats yr opinion of UNB engineering or in general?

I find very few articles and forum posts elsewhere on this university lol :s22:

i am also considering a few other universities in canada with a rather similar cost, PEB accredited unis such as dal, uvic, manitoba and saskatchewan :)

My suggestion since u not finding any post
Look at the civil faculty, look at each prof profile.
Better uni tend to attract prof from renown uni.

Or look at Canadian forum, post your qns there

have u looked at uk uni? its cheaper than aus as well. remember to see if your poly got any collaboration with oversea uni. if got collaborate then will have "more" exemption than other uni. for ngee ann poly, our diploma course site have "further study" tab. will list some au/uk uni and those that listed indeed give more exemptions which leads to shorter duration course.

best is look at all possible options, locate the cheapest / the shortest duration degree (with credit exemption). remember to take into account the annual income loss if u study longer.

my case is 1year 10months to be exact but at a price of estimately 150k-160k sgd for everything (tuition fee, accommodation and living expenses).

Switch major from aerospace to civil , doubt one gets any exemptions

yea already checked uk unis for credit exemptions on SP website

unfortunately its not enough. if i go to the uk its gonna be more expensive than canada

not to mention brexit will make my chances of working there one day significantly harder as well =:p

as you said that yours is 2 yrs but 155k or so liao

mine 4 years but estimated at 175k instead :s13::s13:

and actually now that i think of it, even if i get credit exemptions it may not be wise to accept it

cause after all i need to refresh my memory and ensure that my basics are right - dont want to skip a year or something and screw up the rest simply because my basics are not there lmao:s22:

David Koh is a PE?

I am impressed.

Now he talks mostly about cyber hygiene practices.

:)

Thanks for taking time to address our concerns on PEB.

If this PE licence is so critical, then may we assume that most senior engineers in industries are PEs? Example: Is the CEO of Cyber Security Agency of Singapore, Mr. David Koh a licensed PE?

Are degrees awarded by NUS / NTU School of Computing recognised by PEB ?

not hard to search the DB.
https://www.peb.gov.sg/pe_general_lclist.aspx

it appeared u suggesting PE harder to get than his type of paper qualifications.

Mr Koh graduated from King’s College, University of London, UK, with a Bachelors degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He also has a Masters in Public Administration from Harvard University, USA.

U don’t have to be PE to get a job.
Not all civil engineers are PE

Not all civil engineers are PE cause BCA regulations only needs their degree to meet PEB Sg requirement & does not needs them to be PE.
