Agree with you, I was there to visit before & during SUO launched though I did not visit the area where the hawker and wet market is.
In the perspective of homestay, coming back from Aljunied MRT you are quickly greeted by the food stretch of the outskirts of Geylang (although i rmb the curry fishhead quite nice). You have to cross the overhead bridge past a busy Aljunied road and there begins the 8-10 mins walk back home. A narrow unsheltered walkway flanged with office/industrial buildings (usually very dead and wall like, how nice if you can walk inside with cafes around) on the left and Geylang Methodist on the right. Upon reaching the junction, you are greeted by SUO (which is actually quite pretty) and old HDBs across the right of the junction. Roads are always busy all the time.
If I'm buying the PIE facing units, I think it can feel even more depressing.
Haha Showflat time, easy to buy pie facing units.
When going to sell that time, nobody wants to even visit your unit when you tell them it's facing pie.
Just did a thorough site visit for 3rd time and try walking from mrt to PR, took me around 8mins-10mins under hot sun. Unsheltered. Not a pleasant walk though.
The surrounding has one wet market and hawker nearby but the entire Surrounding feels depressing. Probably surrounded by old hdb and industrial estate and nothing much. There’s one nexus intl school but it’s quite dead too. Now they are tearing down the old hdb next to it and probably building bto.
Ok will give it a miss. Really nothing spectacular or special.

Quick poll - How many units do you think Penrose would sell over the launch weekend?
My bet is 150/566 (27%)![]()

Lol can’t be 90 la Forett launch that pricing alr 190, this pricing 90 CDL can pack up already. My guess is >300units. Anw the cheque submission rate and interest went up a lot after the guide price ytd.
