I think most of us would want value for money and F5 seems to offer good value. Just wanted to hear from the rest too
U decide yourself. I am just giving advices.

Poco f5 12gb ram 256gb is like 470. Now nord 3 is 570. 100 more u got better camera, 1 extra year of warranty, better build quality, better quality hardware, alert slider, more ram. Since u value camera so much that u are asking about camera in nord 3 thread and over here, i dont see a reason why not splurge 100 extra for a better phone overall and a better camera sensor

I can assure u poco f5 camera is definitely not great. It is using the same sensor as a poco f3 and f4

Agreed. Overall F5 still consider a good phone. For those who want a spare phone/game phone, can consider that.

There are no perfect spec phone. Cheap, good and value for $$. Just buy according what you think is good.

Some like Samsung A Series (A54), other like Oneplus Nord, Oppo Reno series, Poco Series, Realme series, etc....
We are here to share our POV, ideas & thoughts. Cheers!

Thanks. I’m actually buying it for someone, so need to watch total cost whilst getting best performance/least trouble etc.

Tried. But gcam now still doesnt work properly on f5. Crashes etc. I tried a couple, like gcam, agc, mgc, lmc, but all doesnt work well
i m a user of poco/xiaomi phones since 2015. My advice is, if you expecting the brand of phones to take nice photos, dun bother. xiaomi image processing software sucks bad.

having said that, i like the UI and the good value since i m not much into photography, so xiaomi/poco suits me fine since i like to multi task etc so i need good cpu and specs.

All along i dont depend on poco for camera taking. Is just that I am playing around with custom roms, so just play around with gcam etc...

previous redmi note models i tried gcam. output wasn't noticeably better. last week i went on holiday and took pics. best images was when i use camera on pro mode and adjusted lighting conditions accordingly.

much better than the auto modes.

you should try it.

Yes unless one die die wants snapdragon lor. I saw one commented on oneplus fb post on nord 3 says mediatek sucks ..

I dont see there is a need to stick with qualcomm chips. Mediatek makes decent chips too nowadays.
Moving downmarket, there's still T820 by Unisoc

good points here for sure but the poco f5 doesn't use the same main camera sensor as the F3 and F4.

the F5 uses a 64MP OmniVision OV64B40 sensor, which the F4 uses as well. The F3 however, uses Sony IMX582 Exmor RS.

Typo, i mean the f4 only. But in short, the camera output is nothing fantastic

both chips 4nm and screens are 120Hz right? by right should have similar life, maybe one is more efficient than the other.
Snapdragon chips are always more efficient

4nm and 120hz on both. But battery life difference isnt huge ba. At most 30 mins?

Cameras has nvr been poco selling point or advantage since Day 1

Even next year F6 where I believe they will gib camera "upgrade" (since now F5 using same as F4)

i dun think will hab any wow-factor also

Anyway

from my observation

xiaomi nowadays like no motivation in their poco fones lineup

Mayb its due to many "competitors" and fones that flood the market now that they cant seem to be bother much alr

Its like telling u - "This is what I'm giving u with this price, u want u bai if dun want then sua"
