How many years of security updates are there for xiaomi, redmi and poco?
For Samsung, it's 5 years right?
I thought Samsung now 7 years total? Or is it PixelTwo or three years as per the following page. Some models (more like Flagship models) may get longer updates.
For Samsung, they mention four generations of One UI and Android OS upgrades, for select Galaxy S series, Z series smartphones, A Series, and tablets.

We do our best to provide continuous security updates for our smartphones, covering the brands of Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO. The security updates generally include the latest security patches, security vulnerability fixes, and other security improvements. Typically, we will maintain the security updates for at least 2 years after the first shipment of a certain device model.
We regularly publish and update the end-of-life (EOL) product list below to help you check whether your smartphone can receive security updates.
*We may support the security updates for 3 years or longer for some models, which are subject to actual conditions. If a very serious security vulnerability is discovered, we may also provide the necessary security fixes to you, even if your device is in the EOL product list.

None of my Pocos has the problem.Anyone tio bootloop?
Read on reddit that many miui devices are getting bricked due to some faulty update.
With f5 most prevelant.
I was rather frustrated with Samsung phones back then cos there were not much alternative except iPhone and i didn't really like iPhone. Now got S22 Ultra and still frustrated cos of battery life but it's Samsung's semi conductor's fault since they f up the 8 Gen 1, heard the S23 Ultra battery is really good and S24 Ultra even better.Personally I set my main Android phone budget to be about S$400. I see Poco phones are a great fit for me and I think two to three years support is okay as I only plan to use it as the main phone for two years and backup phone for one year.
NO Samsung for me after the bad experiences with Galaxy S3 LTE+ in 2013 and Galaxy S4 LTE+ in 2014 and I switched to iPhone 6S 128GB in 2025 and then changed to Huawei P20 non-Pro in 2018.
Pardon me but at this day and age, getting Samsung is the worst choice imo.I was rather frustrated with Samsung phones back then cos there were not much alternative except iPhone and i didn't really like iPhone. Though now every phone has been beaten by the new Honor phone in battery life and zoom

Personally disagree, my main annoyance is OneUI, after so many years still cui af.The benefits has certainly gone down but i think Samsung still has a better ecosystem than others and their hardware and software still a bit more refined i think? They really need to reduce their bloat on OneUI though. I don't think Samsung's flagship is worth the launch price. Xiaomi's flagship is getting more expensive nowadays.
MIUI was buggy though the bugs are mostly negligible for my day to day use, i just had to make some adjustments. Agree on the price to value for their some of their stuff. I didn't buy a lot but while they are cheaper and well made, the quality of it is not good unless you probably buy the more expensive ones, which then would mean it's not really that much better price to value, still cheaper than Samsung ones though but at least usually with Samsung, it are more or less guarantee it to be good.Personally disagree, my main annoyance is OneUI, after so many years still cui af.
XM's ecosystem at least you are getting much better price to value.
Haven't exactly experienced bugs on my usage through XM though. Same for quality, XM products have been great, well made and lasting, even for the rest of the ecosystem e.g IP cameras, kettle etc.MIUI was buggy though the bugs are mostly negligible for my day to day use, i just had to make some adjustments.
