price back to 599.

later 6pm got flash deal.
Flash deal still not good as 4.4 promo.
4.4 was $373, and after all discounts, some of us can get it as low as $323...

You anyhow again. That website is in XDA poco f3 forum. What do you think?
So if a developer self post on XDA, it's consider trustworthy?

Just because something is open source and on github doesn't automatically makes it safe, just look at "Microsofts Toolbox" that recently hit the news

Seem like a classic case of a project gone too big and they decided to sell their users to ads in 2020

Trust is earned and getting my face bombarded with auto playing video ads and misleading download button sure isn't the way

Also, just because the firmware comes direct from xiaomi server doesn't means there no possibility of malice, while there are very likely firmware checks being performed by the phone, who knows if something like intentionally mixing up the firmware doesn't happen, like the "microwave thinks it's a steam oven" news but intentionally instead, causing firmware bricking.

The website linking can change the downloaded file name and if one doesn't look carefully, one probably wouldn't notice it

For those that don't know how to debloat, you may try the EEA ROM instead

https://bigota.d.miui.com/V13.0.3.0...AGlobal_V13.0.3.0.SKHEUXM_9a5f825866_12.0.zip

  1. Click Settings ->
  2. About Phone ->
  3. Click MIUI version ->
  4. Click MIUI version couple of times until you see 'Additional update features are on' ->
  5. Click top right '...' and select 'choose update package' ->
  6. select download ROM in your phone -> select 'OK' ->
  7. Wait for patch, reboot and done.

That's why Xiaomi phones are cheaper than competitors'. Xiaomi sells advertisements on its phones.
