Mid march SA for DEI... still no updates till now
I'm not sure if this has been asked in the long history of this thread, but how do you guys answer questions like "Why do you want to sign on with SPF" and other difficult questions which they ask? (In terms of phrasing the answer.)
I heard after a few years then u can apply for other postings.
Ohh, thanks guys!
Just sharing.. TL;DR
Applied DEI in 2 Jun.
On 2 Jul, received email to inform shortlisted for tea session and to wait for them to schedule, in coming weeks.
Currently a manager in my workplace(design), 37 yo and holding a private uni degree.
In fact, I applied a slew of jobs in Career@Gov as I want to switch line.
At this stage i am still not sure if i will take up this job, but will just follow-up and experience the process.
so @lowkeylisa, just give it a try, nothing to lose but experience gained. fighting!![]()
There is never a correct/textbook ans to qns like "why do you want to join the SPF". These type of qns really need you to touch ur heart and ask youself "why did I think abt joining the SPF?" If you are thinking of joining SPF for the money or some personal gain, then you might wanna reconsider joining and start searching for another career.
As for other qns, you can prepare by finding out the mission/value of SPF, and by reading up current affairs or recent police-related incidents. Qns vary and are not always the same. Most of the time you need to think on the spot.
After being asked the question, don't straight away ans. That being said, don't take your own time to slowly think. Think of like 2-3 points fast and work on expanding and linking it. That's what I would do. Of course, such things are easier said than done, so bottom line, don't panic.
Since you mentioned a grp interview with SIM grads in your past comments, I assume you applied for DEI?
