the person who picked your ccard will need to know your Pin to access your bank amount directly.
the more immediate problem of losing your CC is it can be directly used to spend by paywave bah..
I think it’s “safer” to lose cc than dc with paywave function.

safer in the sense, if got fraud, is banks money they will be more eager to try to recover it, so long as is not your fault.

dc, is money out of your pocket immediately.

Not sure if this divert from thread topic so if moderator find it please kindly delete. My question is about debit card.

My first cc was many years ago and during those times the criteria is 24K p.a salary and you get to sign to pay (those times before we have so many kind of XXXPay nowadays). Then the bank officer inform me there is another kind called debit card with a lower criteria and you also get to sign to pay but the amount is direct debit from the savings account linked to the debit card. She told me debit card is for ppl who cannot get cc but yet want to sign to pay. So debit card was to serve this market audience. I find this strange during that time already got Nets also no need pay cash upfront why then use debit card? She replied me not all stores have Nets and some ppl like to have the feeling to sign to pay enjoying the same "status" as cc holders.

Any reader working in banks can confirm what the bank officer told me is correct for debit card?
1. Not all stores have Nets
2. Some ppl like to have the feeling to sign to pay enjoying the same "status" as cc holders

Of cuz now 2022 so many form of cashless payment modes but above is talking about many years ago scenario.

cause debit card can use to purchase stuff online. normal atm card can't.

yea some ppl like to have the feel of signing and don't have to press pin.

might be true that some places accept card but not nets.

2 requests are for 2 different CCs? Or for 1 CC ie 1st request rejected then request 2nd time?

I'm able to waive it through their Bot last month without any problem though.

Better call CS to confirm. Last time another bank cc I call they say pay up remaining bill excluding the annual fee then they cancel your card. Maybe diff bank diff rules.
