If dun meet $800 spend, can still get 5% at sheng siong/red mart, 3% at watson, 3% for recurring payment for SP and selected telco. Only 0.3% for spending that dun fall under specific merchants listed here https://www.posb.com.sg/personal/cards/credit-cards/posb-everyday-card, provided not excluded from rebate.

For same $800 spend requirement Maybank family and friends is better with 8% rebate for some common categories (not including SP utilities though)
Thank you..

Still good enough for me as its frustrating to pay utilities bill but unable to gain any rebates if using paynow.

Am considering uob one card as well now because of high cost when taking trains and buses, if not, will stick to grabpay card..

Sounds good enough for me as long as can get some rebates...

Yes, registering card to simplygo then use it to take trains and buses.. ok, will check..

Thank u..
you don't need to register the card to simply go to take public transport. don't get confused by the app/portal.

note the rebate for utilities on POSB everyday is on a promotion basis, for specific months only. Also simplygo mrt/train at best only earn 0.3%.

Looks like I'll need to apply uob one as a back up just in case.

Okay, thanks for telling... still good to earn some rebates for mrt/bus..

Yup, but its $500/month minimum should be easy to hit with posb everyday card as backing.

Agree so it is good for groceries, hope I wont kana the annual fee as I cant hit $800 with sheng song alone.
actually can use uob one card get 8.33%-10% at giant/cold storage, better than 5% using posb everyday at sheng siong

Just call up or use the apps to request for waiver....no harm trying

I normally frequent sheng song and ntuc more than giant/cold storage so had applied posb everyday in the 1st place. But uob one is more tempting becoz of better rate for utilities, other spends and public transport.

Yup.. planning to do that. Think also can use digibot on posb app as well. At most if not allow to waive, I may cancel the card.

Thanks.. I hope so too. I'll worry about it a year later since I've just received the card this year..

Yup, I'll do that.
Dont worry...so far for all my credit cards, once I see the annual fee charge incurred, I will write in for waiver.

Dang, my annual fee waiver not approved. First time in 10+ years. Need to find another card for town council conservancy charge and supermarkets.
