How is the audio for the sj w9, the jet s, and the 5000, esp with the waterproof housing on? Can it still pick up audio like the gopros?

Hi there,

yes you can still pick up the sound with waterproof casing.
JEt S has dual microphone so it will be more sensitive.

Yes we are adapting FLY model but we are trying to make it into REAL 1080p
We will developed Fly6 model equivalent in 1080P.

Interesting.

Will it have
1) A long run time like 6 hrs?
2) Bright light, at least 30 lumens or more with constant & flashing mode?
3) Compact shape?

hi

Yes the main objective is long run time, bright flashing mode and compact size.

our motorcycle dvr is going super well.
we are busy preparing mass production.
once we have completed this, we will focus to speed up the bicycle dvr.

POSH W10 :D

Whats new in W10:

1. New improved waterproof casing with big button for easy operation while underwater.
2. 2" Screen
3. SLIM Profile. Same thickness as Gopro Hero 4

hi

Sorry we do not have this function.
For Jet S with remote, you can use the remote to wake up the camera from stand by mode.

Rgds

have a few questions more:
1) How long would the response time be to wake up the camera? do you have any videos on the functionality?
2) what is the battery life? can i use it like a dash cam where there is a "car" mode where it will start recording when power is plugged in?

data lost .!!!

hi sinmarket

question 1
just bought my sj4000w 1 month ago.
was trying out at adventures cove yesterday, at first everything goes well. during interval waiting time, i did check in the video occasionally I took. i remember at lease 15 videos.
then when coming to the end of day. I check back the video i only leave with 5 videos. (the last 5 video). have anybody experience the same. Is there a bug in the software or there some shortcut button then I accidentally press that delete all video.
I'm using 64GB Sandisk
model : DYXC20140920

question 2
where can i find the latest software to update it ?

Hi There

Sorry to hear your videos missing.
Main problem is 64GB msd card.
The SJ4000 can only accept max 32GB.
As it appears it may work using the 64GB but the processor may not be able to write into the MSD card in proper.

I suggest you get class 10 32GB.

So far we do not have firmware upgrade, as the camera is quite stable with the current firmware.

It took about 3s to wake it up.

Battery life for 1080p 60 Frames about 70 min continuous recording.
You will get more battery life reducing the frame rates and video quality.

We do not have car mode for auto recording.

Youtube link on the unboxing.

Can I use W9 as a Car DVR?

Any special setup required?

our first batch SJ4000 is able to be used as car DVR.
This is made by the same factory as SJCAM.

We scrap this function main reasons, battery degrade very fast in our weather when it is left in the car for a period of time.

When user want to take it out and use as normal action camera, user realise the battery is dead.

Thus we feel, dash cam is fine even battery is dead as main supply by car battery.
Action camera, we do not want customer to mix this function.

Close up of POSH W10 and comparison with W9.
W9 foot print is the same as SJ4000, SJ5000 and SJ5000+
Be amazed how small is W10 pack with wifi and amazing improvements on the design.

The W9 and W10 series has no issue on this.
as long you use 32GB msd card and format it to FAT32.
our main issue on on this model mainly mechanical due to the abused the camera is facing. most of the time, we replace them 1-1 out of good will to our customers.

for ambarella chipset on our Jet S it is more tricky.
Due to the fast processing and complexity on the firmware, it is not as stable as W9 and W10.
But the video quality for Jet S is far much better. Nevertheless, our Jet S has much less problems compare to gopro or xiaomi or SJCAM.

sorry....newbie here. how to format to FAT32? n is it a must?

hi

you need to insert your msd card to your computer usb by using adaptor.
the computer will detect the msd as external drive.
in the windows or file explorer if you point the mouse on the drive and right click your mouse you can choose format.
When in the format menu you can toggle the options.

Hope this help

it should not be much an issue.
but it is always good to reformat your card or start with fresh formatted card. whenever you want to use your camera.
Do not leave too many data in your card as it may be easily corrupted.

For W9 and W10 we do not have much an issue on this.
For camera with Ambarella chipset this is common problem.
Just like gopro, it is very common to have cache error or corrupted files.
