thanks asriznet
Mine still have around 100GB but you see mine is MBA so I find it abit troublesome to clean install as I do not have optical drive.
thanks asriznet
I think I will choose clean install then.
But then can I ask one last question, that is my MBA comes preinstalled with pages, numbers, iPhoto etc.
How about Yosmite, does it come together also?
Sorry for my long winded question
I use this method as well, but won't this method keeps all the problematic files? I read from a Yosemite install guide that "one of the reasons for a clean install is to not have older files present that may have caused problems in the past."How much data do you have in the current system? Best is to do an erase and install, if you need to transfer back the data, make sure run time machine backup first then migrate your data after the installation.
nope. go to about this mac, click on system report and look under bluetooth to see if your system supports handoff
Yup. I got handoff to work. Both devices need to be on the same iCloud account, same wifi and bluetooth needs to be on. Also subjected to the device you are using. Older devices not supported.

Can't keep it to stay working on my 2012 macbook air though. Initially got it working by signing in and out of my icloud accounts, but then it stopped working like 10 minutes later.
I am also getting syncing problems with icloud drive, where documents take forever to download.
And now 8.1 wants me to try icloud photo library? Think I will stay away from now.![]()
WTH that sounds bad!!Did a clean installation of Yosemite on my Macbook Pro 11,3
When I try to hook up my Macbook via the HDMI port to my school's projector this happens.
System Preferences and the UIServer will start to memory leak until the whole mac freezes.
I've tried a PRAM reset, repairing of permissions.
Anyone has any idea?

btw, anyone managed to get SMS forwarding to work? tried to enable it on my iPad, iMac and MBP, but i don't see the verification code come up on any of those devices. turned them all off and on, made sure BT is on, all devices are using the same Apple ID and on the same wifi network, but no success. telco is SingTel btw, one of my friends manage to get it working..
So if you update to Yosemite than your softwares like VMware Fusion and Parallel also need to buy their updates to work with Yosemite ?
