People are so smart :)

I have a mid 2010 MBP so forgetting. Hands itchy for a new Mac Mini for my desktop.

On a separate note, don't like Parallels 10. The dock icons are crazy. Basically instead of just 1, there is another one for each VM you have.... madness.

I keep getting "This copy of the Install OS X Yosemite application can't be verified. It may have been corrupted or tampered with during downloading." despite googling and doing all the possible remedies.

Its only about 868MB so I guess its corrupted.

The overall upgrade is 5Gb plus. should not be that less.

changing the DNS and creating a new account doesn't work for me. Where do u download this cloak app?

May I know which service provider & router you using?
Once you change to public DNS, you have to flush your mac DNS cache. On your network, try forget the network setting and rejoin. Check that your DNS is now on public DNS.

crossing my fingers and keep trying. :D

File size is correct. But what error did you get? Maybe delete from the applicaton folder and redownload :)

Anyone's default mac calendar shows 18 oct although today is 19 oct?
the calendar sits on my dock and usually it shows the date of the day. but today it shows 18 instead of 19.

After upgrading to Yosemite on my 2012 iMac, when I click on Finder and select iCloud Drive, it keeps showing Setting up iCloud Drive and with a spinning wheel and does not proceed to the next step. Have rebooted the iMac multiple times and it still persists with the same message. Anyone know how to fix this?

yosemite is very smooth on my 15" rmbp late 2013. startup and shutdown is faster actually on yosemite than on mavericks. only problem is that spotlight wont search internet (i.e. bing/google/wiki) even after i enabled all options in the preferences and move them to the top :( oh well..

My Ethernet connection suddenly doesn't work after installing Yosemite, system says it's connect but doesn't get any connection. Already DID a PRAM Reset already. Wifi is working though. Don't understand what is the problem...

I can't seem to post a picture here, but ethernet says connected. All settings on the right seems normal, using DHCP: ip, dns etc. Search domains is blank

i'm not sure of your problem but there used to be a similar bug when mountain lion was released; osx used to be prudent by having ethernet over wifi, now you have to set the order in your network side panel. will disabling wifi work for you?

My ethernet was always set to the 1st order. Disabling the wifi doesn't work unfortunately..

Note sure how to solve your problem. But at least you can do a clean installation of Yosemite.

The icons on 10.10 really look very cartoonish. Like someone's sketch work.
