Didn't go through the entire thread. Have not used a home laser printer. Would be great if you can help with the following questions.

Any recommendation based on the requirements below?

Work use
Would need one able to print on fabric, heat transfer paper and photos.

1. Mono or Colour
Color

2. Print, Print Scan Copy (3in1) or Print Scan Copy Fax (4in1)
Print, Print Scan Copy (3in1)


3. Printing capacity per month
Varies. Can consider 50-100pcs/month.

4. Budget
Best if less than $350.

5. Other extra requirement like wireless, iphone printing etc.
Don't necessary need wireless printing.
Best to have separate ink cartridges for each color.
Low ink cartridges cost
Reasonable cost per print. Looking at less than 50 cents per print.


Casual use
Not printing photos. Mainly color/BW document printings.

Currently in the market the top 3 brands are Fuji Xerox, Brother and Samsung.

List the specs of printer that you are looking in this way so hwzers can assist you better!

Wireless and duplex both will be $348 for Brother and $359 for Fuji Xerox. Just ignore the fax function like most users over here.

cost is the cap for your decision. then you should sacrifice on some variables like duplex function, wireless capabilities without router, or even having no network capability functions.

the closest to your requirements would be a inkjet printer that can do colour printing as well. it goes around $150-$250. i am guessing you are using it for home purposes and mainly yourself and one other user. inkjet will suffice mostly.

if it's for business, i suggest you buck up the prices to $490. samsung has some models that support what you need.

Xerox has the best image & color reproduction using original toner. Can see a drop in quality with compatible toner if viewed closely.

Actually my main aim is on the duplex scan ....the rest I really don't need.
Since I have a inkjet that why I thought of getting mono laser for a change.

Dont bother Samsung. The model would be SCX-4833FR which is EOL all the dealers are just dumping stocks away but they cant clear all. Their toners are non-existent at your convenient as their have supplies shortage.

For Fuji Xerox it costs $499 also but no wifi.

Hope you understand that there is not cheaper models avaliable already. Either you up your budget or reduce your requirements
