I had a Samsung CLP-310N. It ran out of colour for red, yellow and blue. It refused to print black and white even when the Black toner is not empty.

How to check whether it spoil or just replenish the coloured toners.
Should I give a try to get compatible toner or get original.

Both of the printers requires mono and colour printing.

For the scan and print printer, USB connection would be fine.

For the 2nd printer, wireless printing is required but duplex printing is not required

after using Fuji Xerox CM305DF, i have to admit, the printer is quite retarded.

Scanning a document to be printed, the document will yield a black / white document even though selection is to colour... not sure which selection is wrong.

scanning the document will yield uneven printing tone... lighter @ right hand side of the page

I would suggest that you go for compatible as this model is no longer under warranty. You could get it from me

The printer is build in such a way that black wont print when the other colours ran out. It is not defect.

Do you mean that no matter how u change the photocopy color function , it stills photocopy in mono ?

Just a check, can i assume that you are talking about mono multifunction as ur budget is too low for colour.

My 4 year old canon LBP5050 original colors cartridges keeps smudging the paper even though they are depleted. Even the auto cleaning feature can't fix it after 10 attempts. Used a cloth to wipe the smudges on the cartridge drum but it doesn't appear to help much and must be repeated 2-3 times each time I need to print a new document. Also tried removing a color cartridge but it doesn't work.

Previously, I had been replacing only the black cartridge even though the colors are depleted - this is because a cartridge costs $100+ and it will cost a fortune to replace all of them.

I think the printer is lost. Can any kind soul please recommend a BW laser printer with low cost per page printed? Previously, I replaced the Black cartridge once very 9 months.

ps: I used Samsung previously, the printer was cheap, but the toner is very expensive.
