Wake up thread. I have a Samsung CLX-6260fw, looks like a good time to ask
so HP has bought over Samsung's printer business and has migrated existing warranties over. Has anybody tried it out yet? Any good/bad?
My printer's jamming even though it has no paper in it and the rollers seem ok...
On 25/1/2018, the service technician come to my house to see to the Samsung laser printer.
He shake the black toner greatly, until my bedsheets, my bed warmer, my floor, is full of black toner powder.
As a layman, who changes printer toners / ink jet inks when printers are out of toners/ inks; I know that if we shake the toner/ ink cartridges; toner powder/ inks will leak onto our hands. As a service technician of Samsung/ HP; how can this technician be so careless to result in black powder in black opaque patches all over my bedsheet, my bed warmer, my floor, my cloth etc. Prior cleaning, there were so many black powder in total black patches on the bed and floor, and bed warmer.
As I worry that the black powder will cause health issues to myself and family, I had no choicebut to throw away my bedsheets, as I am not sure how fine are the blackparticles, and I doubt washing the bedsheets, pillow cases, bolster cases, blankets ; will get rid of the fine black particles; I threw away all these. I do not want to be inhaling the fine particles throughout the night when I am sleeping on the bed. Even during School days, when we did science experiments with chemicals, we had to wear masks, eye goggles, gloves, and safety boots etc; as teachers warned us that some of these chemicals are carcinogenic and should not come into contact with our skin.
My bed warmer cost me almost $1000 when I bought it back then. I have to buy a new bed warmer, as I dare not lie on the bed warmer which has many black particles on it. After the technician left my house, I called him back to ask him to come and clean the bed warmer together, as we have great difficulties removing the black particles from the bed warmer. The technician wanted to leave after helping me to clean up the warmer for 5 mins, as he told me he had other appointments. I told him he has to help me with the cleaning, as he is the one who made a mess ( as I think the longer the particles is left on the warmer, the tougher it is to remove it). He obliged, he did reminded me that he was helping to try to make the printer work. But asa professional, I felt he should not be so careless in his job, to cause a disaster of black powder in black patches in my bedroom. My helper had to vacuum and clean up my room. ( Samsung printer is in my bedroom ). My helper, myself and the technician ; spend a lot of time, trying to remove the black particles on the warmer, but still, the warmer have a lot of black particles on it. Seriously, I totally dare not use the black warmer which has black particles on it, as I worry inhaling the black particles over a long period of time may lead to lung/ other health problems. That will defeat the purpose of me using the warmer as that is to boost blood circulation and to sooth my backaches, and menstruation cramps. I also threw away the 3 brushes that we used for brushing.
Each Samsung toner cost about $198. Previously, the toner report shows some toners were about 30 - 40%, but the technician told me I should change toners at 30 - 40% as otherwise the printouts will be blur. I cannot understand why Samsung designed a printer as such, as all my other ink jets only requires replacement of inks when inks were 0%. As consumers, we will not be able to gauge when is a good time to change toners, unless the printers prompt us. Normally, the printer only prompt me to change toners at almost 0%. During the first / second Samsung repair, I wasted 4 toners, as we replaced the 4 toners to make sure toners is not the issue. I have no idea what is the toner % in the printer, prior replacement. Despite this, Printouts and scannings by Samsung laser printer are still blur.
Previously, the technicians also told me I should use double A papers, I followed suit as well. Despite this, Printouts and scannings by Samsung laser printer are still blur. I am very disappointed and angry with this Samsung printer.

When I ask the technician, Can I trade in my Samsung printer to HP laser printer, he told me HP laser toners are very troublesome and need HP to issue some documents before we can change the toner. I then replied How can that be, as that will chase away all customers.
When he was about to leave, I lamented again that Samsung printer is of super inferior quality and I hope HP spare parts will really rectify my printer issue. He told me spare parts are still from Samsung, just that HP stickers is pasted over the parts, ( as of Nov 2017, Samsung sold their printing arm to HP)
