An suggestions for printer:

1. Mono

2. Print, Scan, Copy
need a good quality scan
print mono so just a normal quality

3. max 100pages usage per month

4. Budget $250 with long warranty

sometimes I on it just to scan without printing. Will ink be use to clean the head? can I off any function since I am not using it? if there is a malfunction can other functions be used or I have to get a new one?

Dont buy 3 in1

Just buy 1 mono printer cheap cheap less then $100

Fuji Xerox P215b or Brother HL-1110

then $150 you go buy standalone scanner (quality way better)



laser printer dont use ink. they use powder so even if you nv print it wont dry up. 3 in 1 is fine but with your budget just get a standalone scanner if you require good quality

Dell printers suck leh you dont need to find toners and is OEM from Samsung. Must as well pay abit more to buy Samsung SCX-3405FW

Kinda but in terms of warranty + accessibility of toners Samsung is better.

Walk into any retail stores will have samsung toners. Dell toners have to and only can order on-line but dell philosophy seems to be like selling u a buy and throw printer nowadays with such low prices so doesnt really matter about thier toners

Their toners u can try luck with harvey norman and dont need to try luck with challenger best denki courts
