Prices depends on the band's width which affects the side diamonds prices too on the setting, do keep that in mind haha.

Anyone bought from Jumbo Gold & Diamonds before? Their website is http://www.diamondtrader.com.sg/

Saw them selling a round diamond 0.54ct for $2484. GIA 1215856107.

Checked the HCA and it's 1.8. Price seems to be below average.

Any comments?

Just to update you guys here. I went ahead and bought my ring at Jumbo instead of JP as they carry quality diamonds with JP's "super ideal" cut but at a few hundred cheaper. The guy is super friendly and helpful as well so if you know what you're going for and the setting you would like, you can totally visit Jumbo. They have all the diamond checking equipment and scope as well so don't have to worry about not getting what you've paid for. By the way, don't use their reference website as their prices not zhun, message the owner and he will send his price list of his recommended diamonds. Personally, i felt his service is even better than JP.

Paid $3700 w/ gst for a 0.5ct HCA 0.9 IF and E colour diamond and setting which fits nicely into my budget of 4k for a 0.5.

My advice for diamond getters, after my hours of research, go to JP for the education and after you know what you want, get from Jumbo. They're a distributor for jewellery shops anyway but their office is quite ulu as it's not a store but office instead. Pm me for contact.

I dont think their diamonds are Super Ideals leh. The scopes I got from them last time was abit off. or maybe its just me?

Jumbo does not offer quality Super ideal cut, infact, I’ve given them the budget of 20k and gave them some time to select the ‘best’ cut diamonds they could ever find and send me the scope images, NONE of the 6-7 diamonds they short listed for me are as good as JP’s Super ideal standard.

Further more, all the diamonds that jumbo sent to me, with the GIA cert number, JP have access to the same diamonds (Jumbo does not carry much stocks and gets the diamond from an open inventory list where many dealers have access to the same inventory) and could price them even cheaper than jumbo if you prefer something of those standards.

Probably got brainwashed haha. Jumbo was trying to feed me of various stories about how JP’s scope images are ‘modified’ ‘special machine taken images’ and unreal. But Infact, the scope images taken by JP was simply using iPhone camera.

I'm waiting for mine to be ready in mid June It's a rope twist band with 5 prongs in 18k rose gold and I'll be mounting a 1.27ct grey diamond in it (I think it looks smaller than that though, because fancy diamonds are cut deeper to enhance color over width). There are many overseas jewellers who have grey diamonds with rose gold bands so we hope ours will be as nice too.
