Would u see a size difference? Unlikely much
Would u see a color difference? Unlikely
Would u see a clarity difference? Unlikely with naked eye

Would I pay $1000 for benefits I can’t see? Only if the 0.557 numbers mean something meaningful to you and your gf

It's the placebo effect too.. if it makes the buyer feels better, why not :s13:

if you would like to spend more, stick with VS2, F color and push up the carat.

F color dont have any other stock at the moment sadly..

Would still choose the 0.533. As they have said earlier, you cant tell the difference between VVS2 and VS2 with naked eye.

I'll still go for the 0.53!

I see.. even though the 0.53 is slightly dirtier it wont affect the diamond right ? from what i see is ther is a quite alot of feather needle crystal on the side of the diamond... would it affect anything ?

i guess i will go for the 0.53 since many bros here suggest me getting that instead !haha thanks alot !!

i was actually leaning towards the 0.557 due to it being cleaner and bigger haha..

When you say the 0.557 being cleaner, it’s more mind clean. I’m sure both are ‘eye’ clean. Of course, some pple do try to opt for D color and VVS for peace of mind. Ultimately, the decision rest with you

As for the crystal n feather, I think that’s what you pay JP for. To make sure the diamonds are almost perfect. At a clarity of VS, I dun think there’s too much to worry about. After all, JP is setting for u. I dun think he will pick a diamond that is a setting risk.

Frankly, if you just try searching SI1 on bluenile vs Whiteflash for example, there are some pretty bad SI1 on bluenile. So not all SI1’s are the same.

The 0.557 is a better stone, but the price increment doesn't align with the value increment.

As long as the inclusions can't be seen by the naked eye, I think it will be okay. If you keep to the same specs, 1K can up the size by more than just 0.02. Too bad they don't have other stock.

Or the 1K can be used to get a more complicated ring design. What design are you intending to do?

You guys have any knowledge of Fairy Inc's (now Artemis Rings) ring prices? Thinking of approaching them for engagement ring. Based on the ring designs on their insta page, their designs will appeal more to my partner compared to other shops.

Can't help you bro, but I know their selling point is not on low price. It is for the design and experience. Any particular design you're looking at?

The partners of Fairy's Inc have split, and they run their own operations individually. Yes, I would say they their strength is the designs and they can guide you through the process. Their prices are actually reasonable and almost similar to any custom design ring, if you are comparing based on a similar design. More importantly, they are also strong in their after-sales.

How about the quality of the diamond? I'd think that's the biggest consideration since the bulk of the cost goes to the diamond itself.

Many jewelers are able to 'imitate' the design based on a graphic, I provided my guy at JP with nothing more than a picture of the setting I desire too. Came out looking the same.

Not going to deny that some jewellers like JP might have better diamonds, as they focus a lot on scopes.

If you need a jeweller to just imitate the design, honestly, almost any jeweller can do it. But, if your focus is creating and perfecting a unique ring design (and not just imitating) and letting the jeweller assist you in the process, then Fairy's Inc would be better.

On a practical note, the diamond would seem more important. But more importantly, the question would be what one's partner would be more excited about.

For me, my partner was more interested in getting a unique design which has meaning to it, rather than a design that is similar or copied from the market. Up till today, the ring was more talked about and remembered than the diamond itself.

At the end of the day, it's about achieving a balance between design, price, quality, and her expectations.

So it depends on where you want to spend the money on ba.

Really? I thought JP customization was actually the most detailed one.. lol. I know there are many jewllers that can do customization. Most of them is just drawings how its suppose to look like and then you need to trust them that the final ring will be just like the drawing. For JP, they do give the 3D previews and wax mold of the ring, and could superimpose my ring design on my hand.. I was quite wowed by it.. haha.

I think overall, there is bound to be ring designs that are similar to others. Fairy inc style is the same as Venus tears, and they do custom also. You should see their designs too.

For me, both the diamond and design are equally important. No point having a nice ring when the diamond doesnt bling.. or a bling diamond with an ugly design.

Agreed, i actually think JP hands down win with better quality diamond, cheaper & better designs. They are really patient and have multiple levels of 3D renderings, ring wax, superimpose etc to ensure u get the perfect customization design, in fact i think they can imitate + make it even more nicer better experience.
