Uploaded for you. The proportions are good. Though you still need to check it with the scopes. The clarity plot has no inclusions on the edges so that's a good sign. Hard to tell the price without the details bro. Only have G VS2 :s13:

Thank you for uploading the pics for me! Currently, I do not have the ASET scopes. Will definitely update when I receive them. Sounds like 50% battle has won!

Thank you so much for replying!

Congrats! Mind sharing where you got your diamond from?

Scopes are good! It looks like all the other SICs from JP. You don't have to worry about their standards, their diamonds are already the best of the best. Congratz on your buy!

I guess they are the best bet for diamonds. Sorry that I'm unable to disclose the price, but would you be able to share how much is fair for this 1.09ct beauty? Thank you!:)

Thanks for your reply! :))

Thanks for the list Miltah :) I should not be paying more than 15k based on the 1.09ct G. VS1.

Would you guys go for a 4 or 6 prong design given the specs?

Did you gf show you any ring designs she likes? Mine gave me all the 6prongs with the diamonds on the band. So it was easy for me to just go for what she liked. This is my ring fyi. Diamond is a .6

Your 1ct will be way larger. Your diamond so big, I don't think the number of prongs really matter :s13:

Hello mytaroavocado!

That's a really beautiful setup, it doesn't look like a .6 rather something bigger! I'm considering the cathedral with tapered band now. No indication so far! Will be a surprise! :)

Tip for anyone proposing after **, go check out the Decagon from JannPaul, saw it over live consultation. It’s seriously on another level!

Any word on price and stock?

They showed me a 0.4 decagon which was the only one they had left. The rest are in the lab being certified, though they are allowing ppl to reserve them. Last I heard was they have some 0.5cts but not sure if its still avail. Pricing is abt 5-10% higher than their SIC. Very worth it for the 121 facets :flash:

Some advice from pros please, I have an online session with Jannpaul next week. My gf really wants this exact design and decagon, anyone can shed light on what size is most suitable? Intending to get a D color. She’s very color sensitive, so ct size is the deciding factor. Her finger size is about 48?

I saw that same band design on the recent youtube video!

If it helps, my gf is a ring size 50. This is the 0.6ct Octagon on her hand.
Your gf's finger size 48 is small. I think 0.5ct will still look ok on her hand especially if your band design is going to be very thin.

Thanks! You have a very beautiful ring. I just saw the video. Didnt realize how thin the band actually was! It does make the diamond look very big though. Haha. They mentioned in the video the diamond size is 0.5ct, which looked bigger than I expected.

If my budget is about 4-5k, is it enough to get a 0.5ct with them?

Hi everyone, for comparison purposes, aside from JP, are there any other recommended retailers for engagement rings that offer attractive pricing and are honest/transparent?

Thanks.

From my experience, 90% of the retailers here I went to dont even use the ASET scope. The few remaining one that had too, I had to proactively insist for it before they reluctantly show. And after I see, I know why they don't want to show. lol. JP was the most transparent one I experience that taught me the most too. Service wise, it was also the best. They really took care of my entire ring making process and even gave me a recording of my ring crafting.

Besides JP, the next 2nd best will probably be online from websites like the black by BG and ACA by WF. Though their quality is not the same as JPs' they're the next closest.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm wondering if the JP prices are negotiable and usually by how much?

Anyone care to comment?
