S$5K for a ref 5090 is ex when Zotac 5090 is S$3K+ with 5 yrs local warranty support.

No matter how nice the nvidia ref card is, it's still a 5090 with poor cooling and zero warranty. Buy so ex, i rather buy with local warranty.

5090 card prices coming down in sg already. Now aftershock 7800X3D and Zotac 5090 bundle for their pc 4485 already. 1-2 months later expect it to drop to 4k or so.

Ya honestly think their price hard to beat. Sim lim really need to innovate to compete. Economies of scale is no joke. Now Zotac 5090 3.5k on carousell local set. Can nego down abit I believe. Sg retail price 3.3k for 5090 is a joke vs 2k usd in USA. However, prices are very close to official rrp in sg now.

Ya this one need to renegotiate with local distributors also. Local rrp for many pc components are a joke here.

The problem is not about negotiating, it's the entire distribution model that's bloated and needs to be streamlined.

This distribution model was designed decades ago to feed cash into middlemen that put in minimal effort.

Overtime, it’s just normalized inefficiency that is completely unnecessary and making people think their added role adds value to the customers (us) when it really doesn’t.

In other words, the dead weight needs to go.
