For those of you who activated your new premium card, did you encounter any issue with the cybersource visa authorization for online purchases? I still can't resolve it with Razer =( Won't be able to make 150 transactions T_T by the time they fix it
i recently activated my premium card, seems like a mistake to activate it towards the end of the program. i cannot transact online with my premium card.

I can't get online transactions to work too.

On another note, has anyone tried using the Premium Card for chip based (insert card into terminal) transactions and test whether it lights up?

To quote the website:
"including our Premium card—the world's first that lights up on payment—for in-store contactless and chip transactions."

I used the chip a few times already but no light, wondering whether this is by design or is my card defective.

My card lights up just fine when I do Paywave.
i found a workaround. Add razer card to Google pay. Find online merchants that can pay through google pay for e.g Shopee.

I just realised the spend task is not accurately tracking the spend... certain merchants although not listed as not eligible is still not credited. whereas other merchants are immediately credited.

Nice workaround!

Sadly it won't work for some of the bills I want to pay :(

I hope they didn't change their promise when they said the card would light up for in-store chip transactions though. Would be quite a bummer since the light will last longer and be more visible if it was linked to the terminal.

Edit: support replied to me about the card not lighting up for chip based transactions.

Pertaining to your email, I understand that the premium card doesn't light up on chip based transaction. I truly understand how frustrating this could be when things don't go as planned. Rest assured, I will put my 100% to resolve this issue.

Please be advised that Premium card on will light up when when you tap your card in any merchant. It won't light up if the transaction made through online by chip based.

From the somewhat broken English, I'm getting the feeling that it doesn't light up for chip based transactions.

Really disappointed since the original website (https://www.razer.com/razer-card) did promise lights for chip based transactions.

Just email them with your details like email and registered name etc. They will email you with the proper activation code to be keyed in manually. Either they messed up the packing of the respective card to the respective QR code. Or someone preparing these day just printed all the same QR code for all(which it’s not supposed to)
Thanks, I emailed them and used the code they gave, still can't activate lol, already replied to them and see what is their response

Just received my card today and I was able to activate using the QR code that came with the package.

Also just made my first online transaction using the new CC no. and it went through with no issue.

Ok, so I guess the first 2 batches of premium card users have issues with QR activation and online transactions. But the latest batch have no issues with either. Welp... maybe I will just ask them to ship me a new card if they still can't fix it. I already ask support if they will be extending the beta rewards programme because I can't hit the goals with a card that wouldn't work. Said they will forward to the relevant team *shurge*

Fresh new from Razer Support, good news!! Rejoice! It's FIXED! I just tested and finally can completed the authorization with Cybersource Visa! As for the reward program, I don't quite understand the english but I am going to assume that they will be extending the program all the way till either 31st August or 31st July. Maybe its possible to hit the $6.5k spend goal after all hmmm I actually want the backpack

Should probably ask support, some of us got it really fast (few days?) and some had to wait 2 weeks? It comes to the door by courier, mine came on a Saturday morning. My guess is you missed the delivery, and I'm not sure what the process is if you miss the delivery.

Actually my premium card came faster than my standard card. Standard was 1 week and Premium was 3 days? About that range. Both to my doorstep and on a Saturday hmm
