If I plan to take the Puyuma train to Hualien(0720am or 0740am), is there mrt travelling from ximending towards Taipei main station at 6+am?

There is no HSR from Taipei to Hualien, only TRA.

Also to bring us from SML to Alishan + Taichung.

I have been quoted 5000 per day, is this reasonable rate? Anyone has a cheaper lobang?

Does anyone know how much is the cab fare if I take a cab from Taoyuan to Cing Jing?

He's quite young in his thirties and very energetic. He would walk with us and show us the nice food stalls at Keelung night market and would also treat us to fruits and snacks. Highly recommended!

Hi all, Recently i just came back from Taipei and Kele took us out for a day tour and i can tell you that he is one of the most passionate driver i have seen so far. Hi all,
Have use a driver recommend from kele as his schedule was full. Pudding (nickname) was with us and was accomodtive with our schedule. He gave us recommendation when we are short of destination and ideas.

He was willing to drive us back to hotel after final day trip to put our belongings and drove us to the night market.this is out of the package. Best of all, on the last day,he even drove us to a shop that sells tarts , biscuits etc before to airport . (1000ntd only) - cheap as considering the time to drive there, wait for us to shop , to the airport etc.

Gaomei wetland hard to get taxi. Usually people hire a driver from Taichung to there and nearby for seafoods then go back to Taichung.

we took bus there 2 hrs ... then back is 2 hrs lol ...

Hi guys,

Have a few questions in mind. Been reading up a few pages of the post and hoping to get some clues what to do. First time to Taiwan.

1) Is it too early to look for a driver from next year Feb-Mar trip?

2) Planning for a 10 days trip to the following areas. Taipei, Taichung, Sun Moon Lake, Cing Jing, Alishan, Hualian, Taroko gorge. Any drivers to recommend is greatly appreciated. Will be better if the driver can speak English.

The driver we have can't speak english but he always using google translation if needed. but their admin can speak english, so during the process we discussing the trip, we using english we his admin. Everything went smoothly and the driver is excellent! Very caring and thoughtful I must said.

Is there any driver with vehicle that can accommodate 13 people? What will be the estimate cost per day?

Actually Is it better to book two 7seater vehicle instead?

just came back from Taiwan a few days ago, had a great experience with my Taipei driver.
i highly recommend 阿辉, who took perfect care of me and my family members.
got his contact through another member's recommendation.
he was very kind, considerate, caring, thoughtful and friendly.
he was very flexible in suggesting and making changes to our itinerary as my parents couldn't walk too much and the weather wasn't great.
even though he is relatively young (mid thirties) for a driver, i could tell he was very experienced, and my parents liked him very much.
we even extended our 1 day booking to a 2 day booking.
i couldn't praise him more.

he drives a toyota wish which can accommodate up to 6 people.
i have tried contacting other drivers and most of them quote higher.
he would much prefer to communicate in chinese as his command of english is very minimal.
