Arh, side printed keycaps.

Ordered 3 diff colorways with 3 diff switches. Most keyboards will do south-facing these days anyways, south-facing prevents interference with Cherry profile switches as mentioned by ragnarok95. But if you cannot tell, you cannot tell, it's just when the keycap hits the switch.
Your keyboard coming?
3 colors? Oh wow, steady sia, I cannot say so much cause I also have quite a few boards. LOLOrdered 3 diff colorways with 3 diff switches.
One is coming tommorow, another 2 probably end of this week or following.

plastic keyboards really thocky sounding especially the backspace and enter button. i just swap it out to my OSA keycaps from my keychron q3, but on the stock keycaps also really nice sounding.
no rattle at all from the stabs. really value for money~
$30 to $40+ for a wireless, wired and bluetooth keyboard that dont need any modding. damn good value.
looking forward to the black reef version, realise i accidentally chose sea shipping on taobao for that color...delivery gonna be longer.
wahh nice lah thanks for the recIf you want to get this, should support HWZ Deals, you can go to their telegram channel @HWZdeals
This is the link they shared to the exact same board bit.ly/3KihKDk but at $88
its actual wood. bought this long ago when i had my keychron q3. one key cost about $10 to $12 sgd. i only bought 4 keys but i do it in such a way, i only pay about $2 to $4 for a key.Looks good, the China factories probably cracked the code to prevent stab rattle. I would say the current China board is also very good out of the box. So you bought wooden spacebar, R shift and Backspace? Or they just look like wood?

Because back then when u create a new aliexpress account, they were running some promo. new account gets $6 to $8 discount code, something like that. so i just create 4 accounts hahaha.. each account just buy 1 item.
yes the keyboard really got zero rattle. literally zero. as though it is well modded keyboard.
i kinda like how plastic boards are with the acoustic that it brings, i might not get aluminum boards anymore as they require modding to take away that ping and hollow sound. the price also cost way more, and i kinda like the weight of this board, its not too light as well and its easy for me to move it around if i wanna clean my desk etc.
this board only thing i mod is only switch or keycaps thats all. in fact the graywood switches are good on its own, pretty thocky. i ordered SA keycaps from taobao as well, hoping it gives an even more thocky sound lol..
If you have a chance to drop by Ktechs you can go check out the Rainy 75, it is the board I got from them. it's an aluminium board that is thocky without the ping and rattle you mentioned. They should be moving their outlet soon to Aljunied, so more assessable in my opinion. But of course, it all depends on where you live hahah.
I don't have access to the board you bought so I would not be able to know how thocky yours sound, unless you drop a sound test into the chat here.
i realize most sound test dont do proper justice to how a board actually sounds. esp if one using phone to record. phone recorded sound test always make it sound more clackier than it sounds real life. actually just go check out youtube videos of the Aula F75. alot of sound tests, some recorded using professional microphones. If you have a chance to drop by Ktechs you can go check out the Rainy 75, it is the board I got from them. it's an aluminium board that is thocky without the ping and rattle you mentioned. It's always good to try out new stuff, you never know what you really like until you try it.i realize most sound test dont do proper justice to how a board actually sounds. esp if one using phone to record. phone recorded sound test always make it sound more clackier than it sounds real life. actually just go check out youtube videos of the Aula F75. alot of sound tests, some recorded using professional microphones.
haha i dont want to fall so much in the rabbit hole of custom keyboards. now i have 3 liao, its more than enough. to have it not rattle and thocky and best of all, dirt cheap..i am contented liao hehe
true, but right now i like my F75 haha.. and its enough for me liao. It's always good to try out new stuff, you never know what you really like until you try it.
It's like going to the ice cream store, you never always just buy one flavour, you will try different flavours.
Keychron...always have stabilizer sounds prebuilt, though I quite like their designs.Have been crazy about mechanical keyboards all these years but have never tried a custom keyboards (my arsenal consists of Razer/Corsair/Asus). What do you guys think of the Wooting 60HE and Keychron Q5/Pro as a starter custom keyboard? A bit comprehensive of the 60HE due to lack of arrow keys though lol. And I was told Youtube videos their sound tests may not represent how they actually sound when you are typing on it.
Thanks bro! I've seen some pre-built ones as I don't think I'm comfortable pulling out keycaps and messing with the keyboard's internals.Keychron...always have stabilizer sounds prebuilt, though I quite like their designs.
