Recommendations for fridges

National lol. The one at parents' place still alive from the 80s.

We bought a 400+L Sharp recently too to replace our 2nd fridge (Samsung). Sharp prices indeed quite value for money.

Samsung prices are on the high side for the specs. Ours bought a few years back was a mid range model and it was quite lousy, liquids kept getting frozen despite the low setting and the service ctr couldn't assist to resolve. Then recently it wasn't cold anymore.

Have to agree with this. National brand is really damn long lasting. Can last more than 20 years without issues.

My panasonic fridge 5yrs still good but I'm looking for bigger size. Any recommendation? Internal capacity need to be big as now everybody cook at home. BTW Harvey Norman or best denki not allowed to open still right.

Mitsubishi cost a little bit more but has 3 year warranty which is worth it


avoid Panasonic - only buy if made in Japan + they got no spare parts at all (not even the gasket for the freezer door - they order from Japan need 2-3 weeks then arrive)

Anyone has experience with LG GT-B3127PZ 312L ? Shortlisted it as the price is quite good. 2y warranty only, but compressor is 10y warranty. 3 ticks.

Or Hitachi R-BG415P6MSX ?

I don't have much choices, mainly due to a very narrow fridge gap in my kitchen

Very cold, cold until my vegetable frozen. Brought last year, so far so good. But one thing I don’t like about Hitachi fridge is the back of it. There’s this drain pan with exposed water. I’m afraid it breed mosquito.

The temperature can be adjusted, cause I got alot of packaging food, so I tend to turn towards the cold side. The drawer compartment will keep vege from froze.

But I prefer LG fridge.

Cause I recently changed my washer to LG, liking the ThinQ function, saw they have this ThinQ fridge like kinda cool. But Hitachi is spacious for me, if it spoils, my next will be LG.

I am letting my family members to see which one (LG or Hit) they prefer. They have to agree too

The Hitachi is tall for my wife, the last tray is out of her reach for sure

How is LG linear compressor fridge? The height fit my kitchen. Other brand like Samsung are tall. There is a class action law thing on LG linear compressor. Seem like happen after two years of use. Those who has this linear compressor fridge and use for more than two years any comment? The design of the fridge is nice. Referring to the TOP freezer type, more than 400L one.

have read thru all the posts in this thread. basically my choices of brand are left with: (in no particular order)

1) hitachi
2) mitsubishi
3) panasonic
4) sharp

understand most of the comments were saying that it spoilt after warranty mark and since nowadays electronics cycle is fast and why would a company make something so long lasting if they want to earn more?

i also read that hitachi giving alot of problems lately, panasonic quality no longer there, sharp also no good, mitsubishi? seems like no one complain about mitsubishi
