Yes.. I know after transportation we will need to let the fridge settle for at least 30 min before power on. I did this for 1.5 hours before power on. It is only after a week this rattling sound problem occur. Toshiba is not willing to do a replacement hence offering a full refund. That's not good. By right, with any fridges, when they are transporting, there is a thing that is connected to the fridge so that all the components in the fridge will not sway or get damaged by a lot of hard movements during transport.
But the moment it is in place and will no longer be moved at your house, that thing is removed. But.... All the people who ever sent the fridges will always say not to turn on the fridge for 30 or even up to 1 hour after letting the fridge lie still. Only after that, can you turn on the fridge.
Did you miss that step mentioned? If you did, this is what will cause your motor to now experience the rattling sound. Best for you to use either the shop you bought it from to fix or replace or get Toshiba to do it asap before they deem it way too long and you can't get a replacement. (typically up to 7 days from the store you bought it from)
I am considering my next choice of either the Sharp (https://sg.sharp/products/home-appliances/401l-sj-vx40pg-bk?v=1516) or the LG (https://www.lg.com/sg/refrigerators/lg-GF-B4539PZ-multi-door-refrigerators#). Both are French door fridge and i got space constraint issue. Previously using a 2 door Hitachi fridge and i dun wan to go back to the same type.
Any recommendation between Sharp and LG which is better?
