That's not good. By right, with any fridges, when they are transporting, there is a thing that is connected to the fridge so that all the components in the fridge will not sway or get damaged by a lot of hard movements during transport.

But the moment it is in place and will no longer be moved at your house, that thing is removed. But.... All the people who ever sent the fridges will always say not to turn on the fridge for 30 or even up to 1 hour after letting the fridge lie still. Only after that, can you turn on the fridge.

Did you miss that step mentioned? If you did, this is what will cause your motor to now experience the rattling sound. Best for you to use either the shop you bought it from to fix or replace or get Toshiba to do it asap before they deem it way too long and you can't get a replacement. (typically up to 7 days from the store you bought it from)
Yes.. I know after transportation we will need to let the fridge settle for at least 30 min before power on. I did this for 1.5 hours before power on. It is only after a week this rattling sound problem occur. Toshiba is not willing to do a replacement hence offering a full refund.

I am considering my next choice of either the Sharp (https://sg.sharp/products/home-appliances/401l-sj-vx40pg-bk?v=1516) or the LG (https://www.lg.com/sg/refrigerators/lg-GF-B4539PZ-multi-door-refrigerators#). Both are French door fridge and i got space constraint issue. Previously using a 2 door Hitachi fridge and i dun wan to go back to the same type.

Any recommendation between Sharp and LG which is better?

As someone who replaced a faulty Sharp with an LG via extended warranty, get the max length extended warranty possible.

All modern fridges bound to fail in a few years. No such thing as reliable 30 year old National fridge. Heck, can't even trust manufacturers to make fridges last for 5 years these days.

Anyone ysing 6 doors fridge can share the experiences?
I aiming mitshubishi due to the handle design different compared to panasonic and sharp. Not sure why hitachi price is higher than other japan brand.
The ice maker not sure which brand easier to use and clean. Let me know your opinion.
Basically i need huge vege and frozen compartment. We cook daily and stock alot fresh ingredients.
Cureently using panasonic bottom freezer type. Still working find after 6yrs usage. Just space not big enough since we start wfh. And not that cooling as new fridge.

Because hitachi is built to last. The vacuum compartment no other brands have and is usually made in japan for the higher tier models.

After more than 10 years your fridge is still cold.

My family uses the 1st gen 6 door lasted more than 10 years if we recalled correctly.

Was already wondering when we could change it to upgrade but it is still functioning well.

Most of my relatives using Hitachi too and all of them gave zero problems.

I've been using the Hitachi 6-door type for close to 10 years. Not bad experience, will be using Hitachi again as my next fridge (mainly cos of a specific freezer design difference). Bottom 2 doors push button auto-open mechanism still works fine. From my recent comparison of MIJ 6-door fridges, I recall Mitsubishi to have a better cleaning access to the ice making mechanism, as every part of the mechanism can be taken out to clean (Hitachi on the other hand can only wash the water tank and ice tray.

If still working, dont change. New one is not going to last as long.

Yup only mitshubishi ice tray can be fully taken out.
And also the bottom 2 drawers handle is better for elderly.

recently bought the sharp 512L model....

one thing to take note is the spacing of the glass panel...

if u wan to put alot of 500ml drinks it might be a problem due to the space in between each panel

Dont remember. Hitachi for sure has. It i just a sealed compartment that you thought the smells wont come out. I think no need vacuum the smells eont come out too.
Anyway i bought panasonic 6 doors in the end. Cost me 3.6k.
Lazy to change brand.

not about that but you don't want to smell to go round the fridge as well.

i.e. durians.

Just get a small airtight container
Cheaper and more efficient than looking for a fridge with such a feature
my past experience with Hit fridge is always (never die). So i will stick with it. Having a vacuum is a plus.

you got any good recommendation for air-tight container also? i tried a few big brands but smell like durian and kimchi keeps seeping out

One very good way to test especially in show room. With both door closed. Open the bigger door and close it fast, check if the freezer door open a little. Then you know the 2 compartments is isolate to each other or sharing the same air flow channel.
