I paid $2280 for it a HM millenia walk. Basically my considerations were cost, space utilization and functionality.

I decided to go for a Japan brand because i felt they were better made? but those made in Japan were out of my budget (usually costing 4-5k).

Alot of fridges i came across when i was fridge hunting, although the litre might be large but they weren't effective in their space utilization (e.g. size of their compartments, depth..etc) because of their designs (e.g. the thickness of the doors..etc).
And i found the quick freezing, plasmacluster and moisture sealing compartments to be extremely useful

What's the diff with Sharp VX57ES? the difference is the color and VX57PG exterior is tapered glass (not so prone to dents, scratches and decoloration)

Hmmmmm... have you checked your door seals for cold air leakage? Especially the freezer door seals? When the freezer door is closed, is cold air leaking out from any particular spot?

Mitsubishi, anytime.
Yap, always check the compressor uses for the fridge. Not many brand actually use their own manufacture compressor. This is especially for the low and mid range fridge.

In fact many makers use the same compressor and similar design. Just the door and internal design plus logo change.
