Fridge with bottom freezer:
Samsung RL4353RBASL vs
LG GB-B4452SE

Both models have the pro and con in design.

Which brand is better in reliability for fridge?

Lg product are rubbish, avoid at all cost, even higher price item are a long term product defects, their item are expected to be bought and you accept the write off if not then avoid

Hitachi R-H350P7MS

I've been using this for about 3 years or so as my second fridge, would say I am generally happy with it. It's a no frills fridge, good for a family of two if you cook regularly. If not, then can tahan 4 person.

Had to say though after some months of usage, we would find the fridge not cold for some reason and realize the vents are iced over. Scraped out the ice and a few weeks later the problem will happen again. Eventually realized the icing was happening behind, the cooling coils were iced all over. Deiced a huge chunk and the fridge had been OK for over a year. Suspect the way my previous helper used the fridge might had something to do with it icing over.

I paid $2280 for it a HM millenia walk. Basically my considerations were cost, space utilization and functionality.

I decided to go for a Japan brand because i felt they were better made? but those made in Japan were out of my budget (usually costing 4-5k).

Alot of fridges i came across when i was fridge hunting, although the litre might be large but they weren't effective in their space utilization (e.g. size of their compartments, depth..etc) because of their designs (e.g. the thickness of the doors..etc).
And i found the quick freezing, plasmacluster and moisture sealing compartments to be extremely useful

What's the diff with Sharp VX57ES? the difference is the color and VX57PG exterior is tapered glass (not so prone to dents, scratches and decoloration)

Hey thanks for sharing, how has the fridge held up for you?

I just purchased the Silver version (SJ-VX57ES-DS) from Gain City @ $2,137.87 (After all the various discounts)
But am considering upgrading to the Black Glass version (SJVX57PG-BK) from the concerns you shared.

The fridge is holding up well till date... no issues and no complains from me at the moment

If i reaaaaally had to find something to make noise abt, it would probably be the door itself because its pretty light due to the efficient space utilization.. so it kinda closes very quickly and hard if you r not careful...

Currently have a Samsung that still works fine but small capacity 200L+ and pretty high 452kwh (annum)
Thinking of changing to a 300L+- and 3 ticks to utilize the Climate Friendly Household $150 voucher

Any recommendation with a budget of $1k?
Requirements:
- 3 Ticks (to use $150 voucher)
- Slender <62cm width, <65cm depth, no height restriction

Search and read up abit, hearsay must siam Samsung brand and recommended Mitsubishi Hitachi Sharp Panasonic

Shortlisted this Hitachi 330L R-BG415P6MSX with a big bottom freezer space
SGR-BG415P6MSX_07.jpg

https://www.hitachi-homeappliances....ezer/r-bg415p6msx.html?productId=r-bg415p6msx

Any major differences/considerations between top & bottom freezer, aside from space? like energy efficiency etc since i guess hot air rise and cold air sink?

And now Fridge warranty mostly only 1 year? :s31:
Hitachi Panasonic Mitsubishi 1yr, LG Samsung 2yr

shortlist your model, sometimes online is cheaper after all the sales voucher etc, compared to going to retail store to use the $150 voucher.

hi all, sorry to hijack this thread. not really related to fridge.

just asking when we do built in carpentry around fridge, will the built in measurement be fitted to your current fridge size or will you leave some gap for future upgrade? if yes, how do you fill up the side gap? TIA
