fridge quite wide, do you have so much space?

i prefer fridge that are deep and tall, for my kitchen, i place next to kitchen cabinet, if too wide might block some cupboard door from openng fully.

I renovating my resale 3NG flat so the kitchen quite long got space.

My old fridge is Pana and been running well for 3-4 years and still going strong. Will be good if you like bottom freezer compartment.

:s22: i dunno made in where, not japan series. I browse hitachi japan website, not such model in japan.

Maybe hitachi just use some oem and paste their brand there, who knows maybe a glorified oem from akria. :s22:

last time my fridge not cold, the hitachi repair man just pour hot water over the evaporator and charged me $90, don't even bother to change any spare parts, now tell me spare parts this spoilt that spoilt, sounds like i am a good money spinner for their company.

For a bigger family sharing one fridge, I feel having a fridge with auto ice maker and ice dispenser with water outlet the BEST choice.

But for smaller family (2-3 pax in a new BTO), dont need all these gimmicks. You hardly need to replace ice so frequently.

Your thoughts?

:o i don't like to use the ice in the freezer, the ice normally absord all the smell from the freezer stuff if you don't use often.

if i want cold drinks, i just put in fridge to cold without using ice.

Strange my current Hitachi is still going strong after 3 years.

My old place also use Hitachi, still in use after more than 9 years.

Buyong fridge is just like other electrical product. You don't need those fanciful items like temperature display, soft touch switch etc. All these nice to have will cost more when it come to repair. Worse, some maker will tell you no more part to support after few years.

:o inverter compressor i can heard it running high medium low high medium low throughout the day and see from the digital panel , hardly see it stop

old compressor is start stop start stop pattern.

Observations is correct. Old design always run compressor at full speed. When it reach preset temperature. It stop, that's why it takes more power especially you open the door often.

:( I wonder if the motherboard burnt because of continuous running of inverter compressor through constant controlling by the motherboard

Both my fridges are panasonic. So far no complaints.

Mine just cleared 10 years. Panasonic as well, really is thumbs up. But we are gonna change soon since family is now 4 paxs, vs 2 10 years ago. Likely to go for the same brand, or hitachi.
